The hughes is gonna be worth alotttt of money when he breaks through as a star.The Elvis Merzliekens card might become worth it too hes been doing very well this year. You really just got unlucky on the SP game used. I'd say from experience it's better to buy a case of a product like that and buy single boxes of other lower end products. That Larkin is worth around $150 so definitely at least made your money back on the last box including the Keller.

Thanks, Heinrich. I find myself wondering what Hockey product I should be opening. I really like Select basketball -- it's sort of a medium sized hobby box (60-80 cards), with a good number of parallels and at least one per pack, so if you don't get a big hit, you've got a good shot at getting your money back in smaller hits, and if you get both, then you're really golden. Anything like that in Hockey?

@@ASMRSports Like Marc said, O Pee Chee platinum is a fun one to open and it's cheap (it's an equivalent to chrome cards from topps with one auto per box and 11 different parallels to find similar to select.) Even simple ones such as series 1 or 2 in hobby form as you know almost always have valuable rookies and those boxes tend to be the cheapest. I would say from my experience the best mid-sized hobby boxes are trilogy and artifacts. Both are cheaper than the black diamond or SP boxes and usually yield a decent amount of value. There are a ton more out there to pick from of course, but just stay away from the super high end stuff haha. Kind of complicated but hope this helps!

Like the others have said O-Pee-Chee Platinum hobby boxes tend to have the most bang for your buck and lots of hits. Aside from Upper Deck the Cup, most high end hockey boxes aren't really worth it and you'll likely never make your money back. As someone who collected hockey in the early 90s, one of the products that can be found on ebay for relatively cheap is boxes of 1990-91 O-Pee-Chee Premier. That's a great set and wasn't overproduced like the rest of the stuff. Lots of Hall of Fame rookies like Jagr, Fedorov, Modano, etc. Very underrated set that I think will only be worth more as time goes on.

Damn nice Larkin card! Not too lucky in spgu but this product is really hit or miss, if you get a true rookie of a good rookie its normally worth multiple hundreds of dollars.

Btw, ASMR SPORTS you just got a Dylan Larkin who is 1 of the best players from the crappy red wings right now if not the best (Tyler Bertuzzi or Anthony Mantha might be better depending on 1 person's opinion) and it was actually a $120 CARD
