I prefer voices but like other things too. Some people over do the noises and go way too frantically. I also like the focus on quality goods lol. It's weird but I have always admired workmanship and when people put pride into a quality product. But even weirder is I find myself learning something's in these videos lol.

Bars have always been a weird experience for me. I have Asperger's, and so the volume and number of simultaneous conversations in most bars during peak hours is simply unbearable. I also can't drink alcohol for medical reasons. At the same time, I always loved the bartender - patron interaction depicted in movies. I'm an intense extrovert (which I can assure you is absolutely possible for people on the autism spectrum, less common as it might be), and so back in college - when the socializing always happened at bars or houseparties - I would join my classmates at bars just because I wanted to be around other people. Usually I would get overstimulated and need to step outside or head home in half an hour, maybe an hour at most. One time, though, we visited a bar that had some decidedly weird architecture. The bar itself was positioned in the building in a sort of acoustically minimal space. I'm not the right kind of scientist to know how that works, but basically even though the main seating area was loud and chaotic, by chance I happened to find a seat at the bar itself where the noise was surprisingly dim. I ordered a diet coke, and as the bartender nodded with a smile, this sloppy-drunk patron next to me sneered and offered some loud and vulgar comment about how stupid I must be to order a soda at a bar. The bartender told her to leave me alone or sit somewhere else, and she chose the latter in a huff. This was the first time I'd ever felt safe in a bar, and I loved it. I struck up a conversation with the bartender, and while I've gotten much better at small talk over the years I was probably still pretty terrible back then. Still, it seemed like no matter how poor my small talk skills, he was just happy to have someone take an interest in him rather than be dealing with more of the sort of belligerent drunkenness I imagine he was getting from people like the grumpy woman. We just talked for a while. It was comfortable, and oddly intimate, and just so human. Anyways, that was all probably TMI, but I wanted to thank you for reminding me of that evening. It's such a fond highlight of my college years, and this video so perfectly captures the emotional sense of that interaction. Honestly, I think my love of moments like that is exactly why your channel has been my favorite in the ASMR space for years now. I remember seeing that guided meditation video you made something like four years ago - I think nearly right when it came out - and immediately hoping you'd keep making videos. You have a remarkable skill for finding the gentle, human sides of what are in everyday life typically corporate and manufactured interactions. You take checking into a hotel from what is to the desk staff an understandably boring and routine conversation and you turn it into a genuine welcome. You take an evening at a bar and make this video. It's a warmth and intimacy I wish I could find more often out in the real world. So thank you for that.

As someone who has Asperger’s myself, I will say that each experience is different, but for me, I love going to bars. Then again I also work in a 5 star restaurant for a living so maybe I like chaos lmao. So you found yet another autistic person who is intensely extroverted, as you described yourself. But what I would say is that there are tons of bars that are extremely lowkey and I would just keep trying :) there is a bar for everybody out there lol

Kentucky resident and bourbon enthusiast here. We actually refer to the places that make bourbon as "distilleries" not breweries. As you distill the bourbon as opposed to brewing. The general rule of thumb when defining a bourbon is that the mash bill must be at least 51 percent corn, it must be aged in a charred American white oak barrel, and it must be produced in the united states. Happy to see you enjoy part of my hometown culture. Happy drinking and thanks for the great content! By the way, always at least try cutting your bourbon with water. It changes the flavor dramatically. Cheers
@etc3redsox3 жыл бұрын
Also, contrary to popular belief. There is no minimum age requirement. However, if the bourbon is aged less than 4 years, it must state it's age on the bottle label.

jus different ways to pronounce it based on a lot of factors about the native variety's phonology and sociolinguistics and a lot of arbitrary (but valid) consensuses people agree to for no particular reason as most things in linguistics are. nobody has to be wrong , though i will say it threw me the first time since i've never heard it pronounced that way edit: to clarify, some people can pronounce things "wrong" if it's super different from any accepted consensus for no particular reason, or just comes out wrong on accident, but otherwise nah

On the note of whiskey, I remember the time my uncle, the cool one in particular, decided it was time for me to have my first whiskey, particularly a bourbon. So he pulls out a cubical bottle, about half full, and pours about a half inch of the stuff into my glass. I made the mistake of not diluting with a little water or adding some ice, considering it was quite strong. He thought he had given me 70-proof. He takes a look at the bottle, and sees that he had actually just given me 127-proof alcohol. I remember the mild burn, my stomach pulling inward a bit. But the burning pulled back like a curtain to reveal an amazing order of flavor. The taste was, to me, exquisite, not because it was made out to be some high-tier beverage, but because the taste was able to prevail above the alcohol in such a way. I’ll always remember that first drink fondly.

This video mad me very happy. I had this idea in my mind and you made a video out of it :)) If this was real life i would add a soft music or a way for the customer to choose what to drink first. :)

Love the content as always. Perhaps a new video idea can be a therapist that asks us questions and takes long pauses between saying ‘very good’
