I was going to respond to comments individually, but there are so many people asking the same question. So, here you go: 1) The language is (essentially) JAVA. 2) The IDE (i.e. environment/editor) is called PROCESSING. Yes, Processing considers itself an all-in-one learning resource with its own simplified "language." But it all gets processed into normal Java during compilation. If anything, it's like Baby Java. Honestly, just skip Processing entirely and jump into some Java courses. The AWT and Swing libraries are extremely powerful on their own, and you will learn the language in its viable form. You're welcome.

personally, instead of changing the xoff and yoff increment amount, i would have a zoom variable equal to about 7 and then divide the x and the y by zoom in the terrain creation for loops to get a zoomed in and smoother version of the terrain.

Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR) is a tingling sensation that usually begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine. Google says that about ASMR, I think differently and just think of people licking ears. Nice video though it's really impressive to see someone be able to code something like this using maths etc!

cool video. Trick - Mechanical keyboard gives sense of touch with effort. It kills lazyness and provides physical boost which is good for brain. Even more - aim shotgun mic at keyboard and hear that sound over headphone. In this way, you will enjoy the surroundings, you tricked your brain to be happy, now, flow that happiness to be musical rather than intellectual. Do not think while you code, or code what you dont have to think. This technique is very healthy. Stop trying harder, stop talents that make you to try harder, then you will find what you are good at that you dont have to try harder. If you look at this video, and try the same, it will not work for you. You have to find your style of programming, typing, writing, find what you like, then write about it, then you can code about it.

Odds are it’s a combination of both. You can tell from certain pauses and how certain lines are commented out. Sometimes it’s because there’s some structural information being given on how one might apply each line could be used for other things, but occasionally, we see some refactoring, not really any dead ends. If I had to guess, they’ve already built it, and rebuilt it. And then rebuilt it a twelfth time, too. Then they wondered if they could do it blindfolded. When I used to make tutorials, I would always try to record everything in one cut, and from memory as much as possible. The philosophy is that you never know something until you can succeed in teaching it. When I say it like that it sounds cool… but… It would take around ten takes to pull it off without screwing up, spacing out, or using the idiotic and compulsive phrase, “let’s beef this up a bit.” Ah the cringe ole days me hearties

@@ledira8539 there are a very few popular programming languages with dynamic typing. Actually if you learn C-like language(C, C++, C#, Java and other) you will be able to learn 70% other programming languages because they all have a similar structure. And I think strictly typed languages develop correct thinking(Here the point is that mutability of variables itself is fundamentally unnatural for programming, and i think you, in the beginning, need to move away from this)

In the beginning i often followed along to coding train videos or other tutorials about interesting code. Just typing what they type, trying to understand it and then tweaking it is a really easy way to see what is possible :) Once you feel like you got the basics down start doing small projects. It's not bad if u dont finish them. Like building a website that actually can be reached from the web. Or a simple app, a game, a script to automate ur finances. And there are tutorials for everything. But over time u wont need them as often.

And i learnt things there university never even tried to teach me. The whole tool chain you use around coding and of course real world problems. They had some easy ones and i could always ask for help. Just putting that out here ^^

All so easy to do when it's all done for you. It would be a whole different experience if you had to actually draw those vertices, do the culling, z-buffer etc. I know, try doing that landscape on something like an Amiga with just a blitter and no floating point. That would be interesting to see. It's good to watch though, especially with how easy it is to do quite complicated things.
