Hello Lovelies... *Warning if you are easily triggered by self harm & suicide you may want to avoid this one.* This was quite difficult one for me to film, as both self harm & suicide are triggers for me however i wanted to create awareness on the matter & to help anyone out there that is suffering. I briefly mention a bit about myself where it felt right to mention it. One day i may go deeper into everything that i have experienced including all my past & long life diagnosis's but for now i left it as this. To be honest if i spoke more about it, it would have taken away the purpose of the video. There will be a part 2 where the nurse does a health check on you (To be planned & filmed) I am Doctor Nicola from Brave Psychiatric Hospital. I will be checking you in today & getting you admitted to the unit. Please relax, be as open as possible & know that you are not alone. It is ok to not be ok! We are hear for you & we will help you through this. I hope you enjoy x Remember Be Brave Be You! *Please like & Subscribe!*

When I was about 20/21, I harmed myself thinking the goal was suicide. I ended up "chickening out" and called 911 on myself and checked myself in to the mental ward of the hospital for a bit. My kids were thankfully with my mom that night, and was 3ish and 1ish. I recently just turned 30 and haven't done anything to myself since that night. Watching this made me realize how far I have come from that night / point in my life and how proud I am of myself. My children are now 13 and almost 11, and I'm married to their dad, and I am so glad I ended up calling EMT on myself and got the help I needed - I love my life. Thank you for this. For both awareness and remembrance.

I am glad you’re not too afraid to talk about self harm. I wish that I was treated with this amount of care. Don’t get me wrong, my therapist is lovely and kind but a doctor has never asked to look at my arms and if they did they would probably shame me. I haven’t self harmed since November and I’m really proud of myself. This actually helps me feel calmer and takes away some of the thoughts that swirl in my brain ❤️❤️❤️

To say this is by far the best video you’ve done is an understatement. The other ASMR videos you’ve done have been amazing and relaxing. However, this one really hit home hard. As a fellow suicide survivor and someone who continues to drink to take away my problems, this has been so helpful in a way. It was great to see how real you were and to have you open up about yourself really helped me get through this video. This self isolation sure doesn’t help any situation. Words can’t begin to describe what this video meant to me. Thank you so much! ❤️
@BeBraveBeYouASMR14 жыл бұрын
Hello Beth thank you for your lovely message, it brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for speaking out. You are still fighting & that's powerful. Don't punish yourself because you drink to cope, it's not ideal but you are still here telling your story & that is inspiring! Well done for coming so far. Yes talking about it is hard as I often feel ashamed about the hallucinations but I shouldn't be. I started writing a book last March but something happened that triggered my PTSD which then made my past traumas apparent & I've not been able to continue yet. I may go back to it at some point. I feel my story should be told. I wasn't far off finishing it. Sending you love ❤️

Nicola you would so good at being a counsellor or psychologist or something in the sector. You're a natural 😍 I know this is a role play but I think you have a lot of qualities that a lot of counsellors don't x

this sounds exactly like my appointments, (when they didn't stop for some unexplained reason 😮💨), when i meet someone new. this touches me especially with the accent, as im british myself, so it feels like someone i would speak to in real life

This video is so soothing for some reason even though I’m no longer self harming and thinking about committing. I’m now 14 and haven’t wanted to commit since I was 11 (I got counceling quickly)
