Putting the blocks on a plastic-y sounding mat is genius! It sounded so nice! And! I’d like to say how nicely you built everything- you are so creative in your building, and I watched almost all of it in amazement before I realized it was time to sleep!
@RebeccasBeautifulASMRAddiction5 жыл бұрын
Ha ha Catie! That’s great to hear! Makes me smile. The platform for the blocks is an old cardboard from out of the back of an old art frame. 🖼 I save these types of things for crafts and such. Isn’t it amazing the sound? I had no idea it would do that. I was just trying to buffer the bad noise it seemed to make on EVERY other surface I tried. 😳😂. Thank you for being the kind of person who notices the details.

Oh my god thank youuu, I just got home and I'm exhausted. This is the best way to end my day💜💜 I absolutely love this and it seems very realistic compared to the usual "sitting in front a camera and tapping a block" setting

Rebecca, you are an artist. A master of natural sound and atmosphere. The purity of the sounds your ears and hands lend themselves to, the beauty they create out of everyday gestures, are in a class all their own among ASMR videos. I'm fairly new to ASMR videos, but I very quickly gravitated to yours -- exclusively. There's a certain spirit present in you, which your choices and sensibility in your videos convey. You are an artisan who crafts soundscapes: discarding the unnecessary, to reveal the essence of simple natural beauty which touches the lives of your grateful and appreciative viewer-listeners. Thank you very much for the time and care that you put into your creations. You are a blessed and generous soul -- touching lives with your magic.

Wow! You are a gifted writer! One artist recognizes another. Your comment was so poetic and evocative that I almost cried. Your opinion of me and my art is incredibly generous. I will try to believe it and agree. Thank you for making my day. May I know your name?
@castinmeadows69563 жыл бұрын
@@RebeccasBeautifulASMRAddiction Oh, hello, Rebecca. Nice to 'meet' you ("no talking," just writing - haha). Kind words from you, thank you. You are so humble; so it's okay not to quite "believe it." You don't really have to, because your hands, imagination and creations believe for you. I'm glad if my words made your day. It is the least I can do, for your videos make MY day, and goodness knows for how many thousands of others (and, no doubt, many more thousands to come). My first name is Misako (pronounced "Mee-SAH-ko"). I'm a third-generation Japanese American. And a lifelong Californian who desperately envies your residence in Tennessee. ;) You "almost cried"... something many an artist does, as of course do most people, but perhaps in a certain kind of way. Indeed, gentle tears speak the soul, do they not? In fact, your statement makes me wonder how "almost cried," or actual tears, might be incorporated into one of your ASMR videos? I don't mean the actual sight of these states (that wouldn't be right, of course); but if the feeling of them could somehow be conveyed in your creations -- through your hands. I'm reminded of a silent film, a painting, a piece of music -- the kind of effects they have, without words. Mind you, this is just a spontaneous thought, inspired by your own expressed state of feeling. You know, the thought processes of a fellow creative entranced by countless things. ;)

I also wish to say that I appreciate your double-creations. Not only your videos themselves, but what you actually create in many of them. This is not the case with many other ASMR channels on YT (many of which, I'm sorry to say, have a narcissistic tenor, some of them almost sinister, or which are designed to appeal to what some might consider lesser aspects of the human soul). Your videos are the very opposite, without trying to be. And your ear for natural sounds (your orchestrations of tone, pace, pause and depth) is exquisite. Truly.
@RebeccasBeautifulASMRAddiction3 жыл бұрын
I don’t know who you are but I sure am liking your critiques and credit to my originality. I know what you mean about the aspects of vanity involving some asmr. Not only asmr but many KZbin personalities in general. The rising numbers of those trying for an easy buck and stardom is overwhelming to me sometimes. I am not sure what you mean by double creations. Are you referring to the voiceover versions of my no-talking videos?
@castinmeadows69563 жыл бұрын
@@RebeccasBeautifulASMRAddiction Double creations. One: your creation of your videos. Two: that you create things IN your videos (such as your vintage journal book). It is HOW you create that makes your videos truly distinctive and thus outstanding. (Please excuse my use of capital letters. I wish there was an italics option for comments.) As for vanity, I agree. It's a kind of oppressive suffocation, and has become a norm. It has come to rule and define so much of society now. This country (the U.S.) has become something which grounded, kind and truly loving older parents, grandparents, and those before them would be astounded by (in a negative sense). The massive, accelerated shift toward the mechanized, the increasing disconnection that people feel (and are an active part of), is disheartening, to say the least. More and more young people seem like robots, including robots of narcissism. The implications and consequences are many. And it is, as you say, at times overwhelming. But the natural outdoors (and your videos) helps to re-center a receptive human soul. To me, to love the Earth is to love a creation greater than ourselves. Enough of my soap box. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. They are, I believe, good, sincere and important ones. Thankfully, there are many people who feel the same way as you. Your videos and your many listener-viewers exemplify this. Your videos are a world away from toxic vanity and mechanization. They refresh the human spirit deeply. And bring such gentle calm, comfort and solace to many. This is a gift. Thank you.

I just realized, this could constitute as healing therapy. Were I a psychotherapist or another kind of formal healer, I would in a heartbeat utilize your videos as part of the healing process (especially in cases of trauma). True healing, healing in the right hands, is a profound, sacred thing -- not just a skill, not something that can be formally learned or acquired. It is something which, I believe, one is born with. Aspects of one's life only heighten such an innate art. Although there are many whose livelihood is in a capacity to help others get well, or who claim to be "healers," few in fact truly have this gift. You may not consider yourself a healer, in the strict sense of the word, Rebecca. But, in my mind, you do indeed have such a "touch."

This… “Gulp”, is an honor to hear. It’s my heart’s desire to bring light and love into as many hearts and lives as God may bring into it. But I am so flawed. Вы были бы правы насчет этого. Если бы мне пришлось жить с внуками, я бы играл с ними в кубики на полу. Но я не могу быть с ними.
