Does the value of the bag fall when it has been fixed/partially replaced like this? I'm wondering
@rachele73984 жыл бұрын
Depends on who’s measuring said value and how much weight the owner puts on the answers.
@nickyang11434 жыл бұрын
Depends, the original in that state would have been worth very little and this was also very well repaired so in this case it's definitely a gain in value. However a poor repair job on a piece with some mild patina would devalue it greatly. Bear in mind that this repair would have taken a few hours and cost the owner a few hundred dollars.

"In order to restore anything, you have to use the same techniques that were used to create it" MFT 2020 I'd say that's a lesson for life as well; whatever you're trying to change or upgrade... Remember it was the way it was for a reason, and that it didn't just happen. Just like this case, it's not just about returning it to what it was before, but understanding what made it what it was to begin with. "How did it come to be?" just might be the solution to "How will it be again?" 😉n

Made back when LV was worth a damn. How far they’ve fallen. It’s sad
@ahalyavaitheeswaran64104 жыл бұрын
What happened to LV?
@n1s23454 жыл бұрын
@@ahalyavaitheeswaran6410 Well a lot of things but in truth it has a lot to do with racism and also social media. Louis Vuitton became a “hypebeast” brand since it was recently claimed by the hip hop world. They started to do collaborations with other hypebeast brands. Basically the black community popularized LV in the social media world. Then since it took off in the social media world, they started to gift items to rappers and influencers. Instead of being this pristine brand that rich elitist white people would purchase, it became a way for middle to lower class people to show wealth. Same thing happened to Gucci. If it hadn’t been for the hip hop world, LV or Gucci wouldn’t have skyrocketed in earnings. However, (even though some new items have now gained value) they risked their items being devalued overall and could also risk going out of style as the “hype” fades away. In all truth, the real reason collectors and elitists feel LV has fallen is because the black community became a huge part of the market. (Same thing happened to cadillacs back in the day, same thing people think is happening to birkin bags. Shameful.)

Random Life Lesson 😄😅: Well i was wondering why the inside was so messed up and needed so much repairing as opposed to the exterior, but obviously the inside is what was used most. As for life now, so often we focus on our body, physical, our appearance and take care of that most with staying healthy, working out, skin care etc... But it's majorly important to remember though that like this case, the inside is what we use most, and therefore can suffer the most damages even though we don't see it. Our minds, soul, spirit even our organs all things that we tend to not care for as much though they are what is most essential to our actual being. So lesson about self-preservation and mental health, remember that what is inside of you matters also and should be twice as protected because it is what is most used. 😊❤️
@Masterlove23454 жыл бұрын
Also, I was wondering from the beginning what was going to happen to the metal pieces on the edges, since they seem pretty perticular yet still somewhat damaged, so how was he going to find new pieces. And the fact that ended up restoring those old pieces as well, making them seem brand new even with the dents and scratches that all metal is bound to have and not be able to fix... I'd say is a testimony that when it comes to restoring other things then, anything, it's not about replacing every single part, and making sure it becomes perfect again just life it was before. We should know that the point is never perfection, the goal is bettering. And once you focus on that you realize that the little imperfections and changes that are irreversible, actually aren't so bad because they don't stand in the way of the general goal, which is improvement. Things will probably never be the same it was before, but that doesn't mean it can't be great once more. Greatness isn't perfection, nor is it just one thing, so something CAN ve different and still great. 👌🏼😊
