Yay! I've finally found another whisperer that does mandarin videos! And here I thought I was alone. I've been taking lessons for a while now, but my teacher is Taiwanese; it's really interesting to hear the difference in accent from mainland China! Lovely video, well done. :)

I'm honestly loving the language lessons. Aside from the relaxing tone of them (thnx to your voice) and the pleasant audio, I feel like I'm actually doing something productive...even if on a minor scale. So for that.... 谢谢 !

Yeah, productivity! Well, I'm really pleased that I can make something that you guys can use to relax and also learn a bit! I had a lot of fun making this video :)

Your videos are amazing. There are some pronunciation errors in this video but that's probably because it's a whispering video so it's totally understandable. For some reason it just feels happy to watch your videos, pretty inspired by this one in fact is that weird :p

Oh my gosh... the 'ma' part was tough ! Mandarin must be the world's most challenging language. I've tried learning it a couple of years ago, but I didn't get very far. xD Spanish on the other hand must be the easiest.... from an English-speaker's perspective at least. Good video !

Hello!! I like how you didn't give the characters yet. When I learned Chinese in high school, my teacher would give us the characters, but i was only able to read and write. If I would have just learned pinyin first, I feel I would have been able to speak and understand better.

When I am taking the Chinese language exam. 1st my classmates : ah...! I don't like Chinese exam. 2nd my classmate : It's have exam every year. Me : come on, forget about it Female Chinese teacher : alright, listen to me, the Chinese language test has a total score of 30. If you answer 1 wrong, 1 point will be deducted. But if you answer more than 15 questions wrong or less than half of the answer is correct. That student will immediately fail the Chinese language exam. Me : oh man! it's the subject that worries me the most! Wait a minute, what kind of paper? *female Chinese teacher hold the paper test* Me : PAPER TEST!!!!!!😱 Female Chinese teacher : let's begin. Me : fine, it's just try it. 1st my classmate : What the hell? Whatever! My friend and I have to take this exam. 2nd my classmate : Don't worry, man - I will try my best.

Thanks! My friend's name is Shou-Chieh. He has all his American friends call him Jack (which I refuse; I think that's just ignorant) but man, he always says I never get the tones right on his name. It's super hard for someone used to tones as a way to infer emotion rather than concrete meaning. You're extremely cute, by the way.
@JubileeWhispers10 жыл бұрын
haha yeah, if you're white, it's probably best to just avoid trying to speak Chinese around him! Asian languages can be very difficult and we can be super critical :') My mom hates saying anything Chinese in front of me or my dad because we just tell her she's pronouncing everything wrong!

If only I had you as my teacher... Listening to Pimsleur gets a bit tiresome after a while. Also, you only learn the really formal stuff. You say you're not fluent, is that true? I would almost assume you could hold any conversation in mandarin...
@JubileeWhispers11 жыл бұрын
I am most definitely not fluent! haha I could probably carry on a decent conversation with someone at the same level as me but for native speakers (like my family) it's really difficult because they speak so fast :\
@ProxCyde11 жыл бұрын
Oh I see. That's quite a difference, yeah. I just fell in love with Mandarin a year back, and been wanting to learn it ever since. It's hard to keep the motivation up though, since it's the first language I'm learning as an adult, so it's quite tricky as well. One day... ;)
