This is amazing ! Your videos keep me focused while writing and deeply relaxes me. It is so strange how these scratching sounds are on the edge of being unpleasant for me but never are, in a very satisfying manner (for example the part with the pencil). The care you bring in the craft and recording of these sounds is simply amazing. In a sound engineer perspective you're definitely one of the best. And you inspired me trying to experiment ASMR videos myself. I wrote about you in my master thesis about the place and role of sound in ASMR. I'd love to send you a copy if you want!

Rather than using the wooden tools all of the time, would you be able to do a video where you scratched/tapped on various every day items, like fabric, beaded surfaces, glassware etc. The wood items are lovely but they make the same noises in each video. Question: does it matter where you create the sounds around the microphone? Like if you were to approach from the back of the microphone would it make a difference on my end? I ask because I had felt a tingle on what seemed like the upper other side of the mic (if that makes sense) and it was amazing so I was just curious.

Extremely old comment and I have no idea if you will even see this reply but I do think depending on the mic the sound can change depending on where you're making sound from. GentleWhispering has a few videos where she's only whispering from behind the mic and there's a noticeable difference

How about some origami ASMR? Slow deliberate paper folding, smoothing edges, while constantly explaining each fold and action. Cutting, folding, even tearing different types of paper can have a great sound. And I love someone very softly and deliberately explaining how to do something :)
