My favorite fall read is Horrorstor by Grady Hendrix & Queen of Shadows by Sarah J Maas

Omg yess Queen of Shadows is the best Throne of Glass book for suuuure. Great taste lol love it! ✨✨

I feel like only people who like a touch of darkness are the Greek mythology nerds, because the author expects you to already know about these characters from the myths. Like for you, it must have been weird for Persephone to be so immature and naive but for everyone who knows the myths, knows that that's the whole point of her character. Thats the arc of the character, so in the first book she starts like that, and then by the end she become another version of herself. She is older but her mind and headspace are immature as you said because she has been sheltered/imprisoned by her mother her whole life. Like her mother controlled what information she received, and what she knows and just her whole character was controlled by someone else. So the entire point of the book is to see how she manages to grow after escaping an abusive environment. That's also why some people don't like this book, because they go in it thinking its another type of book when in reality this is the journey of a character through their growth... ya know? Hahaha sorry for the rant, I just love this book but I understand why so many people dislike it.

I completely agree with this! My friend who recommended it is into greek mythology. And I definitely get that she was sheltered but it just reads so weird to me in a really smutty novel. I can totally appreciate that people like it it just wasn't for me!

it's just really fun to me that you enjoyed fourth wing more than twisted love lol they're both overrated but fourth wing even more so

I agree that there was a ton of hype around fourth wing and I definitely don’t think it’s a masterpiece but I think I just hold romance to a higher standard than fantasy because I read so much of it and I know what I like. Regardless of the hype for either, I just really couldn’t get into twisted love. Each to their own though!
