Honestly, skiing becomes more enjoyable over time. The more often you’re outside and the more you start pushing yourself, you get used to the cold and start actually sweating. Eventually you just start skiing in a T-shirt or hoodie.

This sounds silly, but this was so nostalgic for me! It reminded me of when I was in girl guides as a child, we would go to an indoor snow park very similar and it was such fun. Thank you Villa your videos are always so comforting for me

Ski. I loved going as a kid. I've never gotten lost but picked a trail that was slightly sloped and went through the woods, it was a peaceful ride until halfway through it went completely flat and none of us had poles so it took a long time to finish the trail. It was a good workout.

I’ve read about this place in my ski magazines. How amazing that you were there! We ski about 100 days a year. We live in Massachusetts but go out west alot mix it up. I started when I was in my early 30’s and wanted to be good at it, so I’ve gone through a lot trying to be able to ski anywhere. I’ve had some scary moments, broken bones, gotten totally lost, even had a ski binding get ripped off my ski going down one of the steepest couloirs in North America, Couloir Extreme at Whistler / Blackcomb. Getting to the bottom alive on the extreme stuff is so amazing sometimes that you just kind of need to do it again, and then eventually something a little more difficult. I discovered I am so much more focused doing this sort of thing. I’m super ADD, so I know that is a big factor in my passion for it. Thank you so much for this and all of your wonderful videos! I love and appreciate them so much! 🥰

I'm fascinated by people who ski for recreation. I grew up middle class, and always thought of it as something rich people do, but thats not entirely accurate. Where I live (in the midwest) we actually have an ok ski destination semi-locally where they pump out snow in winter and they have some decent runs. If i would've expressed interest as a kid I probably could've gone any time, but i always thought it was something for the rich kids to go do. So strange. Now at least im indifferent by choice. It looks so very hard and scary. Noooo thanks. Lodge life for me.

If you are THAT cold out in the snow, you’re not dressed warm enough. Layers!! Long underwear, fleece, heavy socks, knitted hat and waterproof gloves.

Never been skiing. Those ski clothes are very nice looking; bet they can be quite pricey. I'm like you, would rather borrow if I'm only gonna use it once or maybe even twice in my lifetime. 👍🏻😍 I'd like to try skiing, at least once to see what it's like.

We do, twice actually. Most of Egypt's Christians are Coptic Orthodox, while most tourists are Catholic and Protestant. So we celebrate both, Eastern and Western Christmases.
