Swear Greek sounds like Spanish and Italian and a mix of Portuguese maybe, but amazing vid nonetheless😊😊😊😊

Phonetically is 100% like Spanish because we both have the sounds “th” θ as in thanks and “th” δ as in this. Also we both have h sound χ as in Hernando. But Italians and Portuguese don’t have these sounds. But yes some similarities phonetically with Italian and Portuguese too I guess :)

in italy some of us study ancient greek in high school, i'm on my last year and your greek videos are so interesting to me! it's always a little challenge to figure out how much i can understand lmao

In Greece some of us study Latin in the last 2 years of high school too and if you choose it as a subject you have to give national exams too as a compulsory subject. It was difficult I won’t lie 😂

@@RightGate3 well i've been studying it for five years, so i've got the alphabet pretty locked down LMAO. the pronunciation is a little different than modern greek (for example, η is pronounced "eh" instead of "ee"), but the hardest things are definitely the grammar rules! there's so many and they're really complex. the beautiful literature makes up for the difficulty though :)
