Hello, hello! It's been a while since my last language practice. Let's do a few easy Russian exercises today and see how much I still remember. And yes, it's a difficult language, but it sounds gorgeous - and for me, it's also the most tingly. That's probably conditioning from years of listening to Maria's voice lol.
This video is intended for relaxation. Triggers include soft spoken voice with Austrian accent, writing, tracing, page flipping and various book sounds. I hope you enjoy it! Happy tingles and sweet dreams
(Next week is back to map tracing with Vikings!)
The book is The New Penguin Russian Course, A Complete Guide for Beginners, by Nicholas J Brown.

As a native Russian speaker, I am genuinely impressed with your pronunciation! ‘Ы’ is a hard sound to pronounce for non-Slavic speakers, but you nailed it, well done!

Yeah the ы can be pretty confusing when you first hear it. I initially wanted to call my cat мышка but changed that to Mishka pretty quickly after I told a few people about it and just got bewildered looks haha. Thank you so much :)

@@MelangeASMR yes, German is difficult, but it is very beautiful, in some ways similar to Russian, it also sounds strict. English is more chaotic (I hope I wrote everything correctly, I rarely write something in english) Thank you too!

It's amazing how much Slavic languages share with each other. As a Croatian speaker, I can understand bits and pieces of this because they're either the same or very similar.

It’s so interesting listening to all of the rules of these languages. I don’t know how you can figure out the pronunciation without any audio sample!?! So impressive.
@MelangeASMR

That is a good question! With Russian, I did take a course so that helped (a bit at least - there is another vocabulary video I wanted to make but the shifting stress in Russian pronunciation gave me so much trouble, we never recorded it lol). With other languages, it can be pretty straightforward when you know the spelling rules, and if something is unclear, you can usually listen to an audio sample on a dictionary website or on google translate. There is also phonetic spelling but I'm not good at reading that - normally I just use it to figure out which syllable carries the stress. (I'm totally assuming you asked for your own language studies! 🥰)
