+Conan Devlin That's right, I am using Kerry Gold! In the US, cows are often corn-fed and other-meal-based-ground-up-STUFF-fed. Usually meat cows are allowed to graze on large ranges, but often, dairy cows are kept on smaller farms and fed meal as opposed to grass (unfortunately). But you can really taste the difference between grass-fed cows and the other kind - it's amazing & delicious!

+MegInWhispers basically cupping your hands around the mic, in the feed it makes it sound like someone is really doing it to you. It's probably one of my favorite triggers 8) If you're using the Blue Yeti in your earlier video I'm pretty sure you'd have to use both hands to get the effect.

+MegInWhispers 2 things. First off, DELICIOUS!!! I found KerryGold butter at my local grocery store and this is a great substitute for going to the coffeeshop every morning. Second thing... How did you keep the hot coffee from bursting out of the blender? I'm using a single serve blender and maybe that's the problem...but any time I put hot liquid in a blender or shaker, the heat pressure throws it out everywhere lol. Just wanted your input since you have experience with this kind of thing :) Thanks again for posting this recipe!
@MegInWhispers9 жыл бұрын
You're very welcome for the recipe! : ) 1) I'm so glad you enjoy it! I definitely also prefer the butter coffee to cafe coffe now and it saves money overall, too! : ) 2) The blended I had used for this video had an airtight seal, I believe. Just in case, I always put a thick washcloth on top to catch liquid from escaping and I recomment blending in very shot increments! Since I made this video, that blender has actually broke. I now have a Ninja set which is AMAZING. Let me know if you want more info about it or any more questions! : ) I really hope this was helpful.
@wordfloe69339 жыл бұрын
+MegInWhispers Thanks for the tip! I'll try covering the top. Although, I may just invest in a regular blender since I can use it for things other than making a smoothie.

On a side note: I've read a few things about this type of coffee and with the butter and coconut oil in it, it actually makes a great meal replacement since it will have more calories than just coffee alone. Plus the natural fats in the oil and unsalted butter are good for you, and will keep you fuller than "fake flavors" we often associate with breakfast food.
@MegInWhispers8 жыл бұрын
Yeah I had read something along those lines too!That's why I'd have it as a breakfast one those subzero long work days at the outdoor horse barn. I'd recommend it as a breakfast replacement if you're doing a lot of manual labor or exercise. Otherwise just have every so often like if you work in an office. Just my thought! :)

@Vivalarachie7 жыл бұрын
Does the coffee cool significantly in the blender? I guess you could pour and then dump hot water from a kettle into the mug before decanting the coffee to help keep it warm. I'll have to try this.
@MegInWhispers7 жыл бұрын
Redrum Not significantly :) if the coffee was piping hot when you began then be the end it's cooled down enough to drink without burning your tongue. in real life this only takes about 2 minutes to do so it stays hot!

Can I ask why not decaf? I gave anxiety so I only drink decaf once in awhile when I crave coffee.
@MegInWhispers8 жыл бұрын
You could definitely use decaf for the taste. They say that the butter and coconut oil boost the effects of caffeine and make it last longer while reducing coffee jitters/anxiety etc. But you can absolutely use decaf to try the taste & enjoy a cup! I've done that before when I wanted a cup of it but it's already like 10pm. It tastes the same :)

Jesse Mason Thanks for your comment, but at the time I filmed this, I did not yet have a good microphone - hence the white noise. However, a lot of people actually enjoy the white noise as an ASMR trigger itself, so it won't be removed! :)

Take out the sugar and that is the healthiest cup of coffee you will have.

68adamgordon Agreed! Unfortunately, I love a little sugar >_< : ) I try to go without as often as possible, though.

I think you can get better... Sometimes the sounds are too strong and there is a lake of control ... I am sure you can enhance.. But thanks anyway for the video

Thanks - That's just the way I talk and move though. Try checking out my newer videos. The audio is clearer and softer, that might suit you more. Some videos aren't for everyone!

I love this video, and I support grass feeding cows! cows do not digest grain well and it causes horrible health problems, which the meat industry treats with large amounts of antibiotics. The entire goal of grain-feeding is to accelerate the cow's life so that they can slaughter it after only 14 agonizing months, rather than the 4-5 year lifespan a grassfed cow would live in much more humane conditions before being led to slaughter. www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/meat/interviews/pollan.html I do want to correct you about your proteins comment though. As far as it concerns your body, grain-fed cow proteins are identical to grass-fed cow proteins. Before you can absorb them they will break down into the same 20 amino acids that any animal meat will break down into, in roughly the same proportions. Also proteins don't "energize" you. I don't even know what that means, but it is without doubt non-peer-reviewed ;)
