This really could be a learning experience for you. I’m a very sociable person and love meeting new people. But I know it can be difficult to create conversations with barbers. My dad always says that the barbershop is where everyone comes by to chat, talk about someone, or just hanging out. I used to have this one friend who would come to the barbershop every Saturday and Sunday and hang for hours talking about nonsense and it still was funny. This video really could be a great way to improve on social skills. Lol this reply is random but I have a friend who has unbearable trouble talking to people. You’re not alone

This is EXACTLY like what happens when I get my hair done. Like literally the last time I got my hair done there was this sweet old lady that they called Miss Mary which is why I felt so shocked when you said that. the stylist that was doing my hair had a country accent (Which is normal from where I'm from seeing as I have one myself) and the hair stylist are always talking to each other, and you captured the experience exactly.

She did my hair along with my mom and sister's for about 10 years, and even did my hair for my wedding. She had the same energy as this character of taking care of everyone and just being such a bubbly person with everyone who walked in. I remember she once did her priest's hair while my color was setting, and she never charged him. She became my friend, and I miss her a lot. But thanks for bringing her energy Amy!

the “I just want to make sure my clients are fed” is the MOST accurate part of this video. my southern grandma would sooner faint than leave ANYONE without “asking” if they want anything to drink or eat and running down an entire menu off the top of her head. the answer is always “yes i would love some, thank you!” resistance is futile 😂 gods I love her, ms allyne

amy i’m curious about the process for recording these! do you have a script or even just a general outline, or is it totally improvised?

Gosh. Just finished work and classes for the day and I needed something to have in the background for homework. If even the ad it’s tingly, can’t wait for the video itself.

I was so ready for her to say, “bless your heart” Because that was a phrase, I remember, so vividly from living in Georgia. You really got the accent going on. Like when you said,” haIeR” instead of “hair”. Love your work, girl 💅💅

You even nailed the facial expressions! Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if I saw you in a movie someday.
