This is so weird, my aunt would do a poem like this when I was a kid, but it went a bit differently, she'd say "dot dot, line line, spider's crawling up your spine; cool breeze, tight squeeze, now you have the tickle-eez!" and then tickle us! I wonder if there's any relation between the two poems?

The reason I personally like this concept is because it melds multiple modalities of sensation into one rhythm. I don't know where ASMR is from or what neurally causes it, but what I'm trying to say is that you're "activating the ASMR neurons" in multiple ways and very precisely (in rhythm) by using imagery, scratches, tapping, whispers, etc... to not just create mere sounds, but a whole simulated experience of "spiders crawling up your back."

There is an idea of an ASMR, some kind of abstraction, but there is no real ASMR, only a feeling, something illusory, and though I can tickle your skin and you can feel relaxed and maybe you can feel chills down your spine: I simply am not there. It is hard for me to make sense on any given level. ASMR is fabricated, an aberration. It is a noncontingent, primal sensation. Its nature is intimate and personal; it goes deep and is persistent. My sensitivity, my relaxation, my enjoyment disappeared a long time ago (probably when people started using high quality mics) if they ever did exist. There are no more barriers to cross. All I have in common with the tingle immune and the insomniacs, the stressed and the tense, all the sleeplessness I have caused and my utter indifference toward it, I have now surpassed. I still, though, hold on to one single bleak truth: no one is safe, nothing is redeemed. Yet I am blameless. Each model of human behavior must be assumed to have some validity. Is insomnia something you are? Or is it something you do? My pain is constant and sharp and I do not hope for a better world for anyone. In fact, I want my pain to be inflicted on others. I want no one to escape. But even after admitting this-and I have countless times, in just about every act I’ve committed-and coming face-to-face with these truths, there is no catharsis. I gain no deeper knowledge about myself, no new understanding can be extracted from my telling. There has been no reason for me to tell you any of this. This confession has meant nothing….

10:15 personally i like this type of asmr when you voice is kind of peaking and getting to that point where it isnt full whispering, but it has some normal talking with whispering.

This was relaxing, ty. We say this bit differently in finland though, it goes like: Four needles pierces the back, a knife cuts through the middle, blood flows, blood flows, spiders climb, scorpions sting, blood flows blood flows.... snake bites! (Its supposed to surprise the another w a tickle)

So when I was a kid in England I can remember my mum doing 'round & round the garden, like a teddy bear, one step... two step... ticklley under there' when she was singing 'round & round the garden, like a teddy bear' my palm was held out whilst she drew circles on my palm round and round which tickled like mad :) then when it came to 'one step' she walked her fingers uo my arm and then stopped, then came 'two step' moved up a little further then 'tickley under there' ended up with her tickling me under the chin/neck. Always remember this not sure if anyone else does? it was an 80's thing in the UK so maybe someone remembers :)
