Something about the minimalism and casual tone of this video is what makes me appreciate it and keep coming back to it. ABC News just ran a short segment about the benefits of ASMR videos in the aid of sleeplessness. They introduced a girl who relies on ASMR videos to fall asleep at night. ASMR videos are obviously a safe and healthy alternative to self-medicating with sleeping pills which often causes undesirable side-effects such as grogginess and all. I only caught the tail end of the segment but it is possible that they may have shown some clips of your videos GentleWhispering. I don't recall seeing your face because they mostly just showed tapping fingers and what not. They also seemed to do a play on words with your KZbin name because the segment was captioned 'Sleep Whisperers'. Congratulations as it seems that your videos and efforts are not only becoming mainstream, but also serving a positive social function in the world. You have found your niche and purpose in life and it is a great one! Thank you...

Omg I can't believe I just now found this video, but it is an INSTANT favorite. There's just something I miss about the sounds captured by older cameras/microphones combined with the white noise of the room. It's so clicky, but in a deeper tone, rather than the sharp one that can sometimes happen when trying to replicate this sound with audio editing.

I can't even began to describe how much ASMR videos have helped me with my anxiety. People that don't experience anxiety attacks don't know just how terrified it can make you feel. They are very scary. The ASMR community is what has helped me the most to be able to shorten the duration of a panic attack. Anyone that suffers with this problem knows that during an attack all you want it for it to go away ASAP. These videos have helped me greatly. What a beautiful and heeling community!! to a good portion of people it is a popular trigger. At one time the sound of tea being made (boiling,pouring,etc) was what helped me find out about ASMR and was for a long time a trigger for me (though it isn't anymore) but I think it may be a good idea to include some unique trigger effects. One of the most prominent trigger sounds is that "sksksk" sound.

TheNiinja Of course you are right, but it doesn't change the fact that probably there are many more common, and classic triggers such as crinkle sounds, turning pages or scratching. However as long as we don't know what they exactly intended to estimate indeed there is probably no point to judge, so that's why I can't wait for the results. Who knows, it might be that selecting this one relatively less common trigger was intentional in order to prove hypothetically, that those people who are triggered by less common triggers are also tend to be let's say introverts.
