The well known Austrian premium chocolate brand "Zotter" has a tasting guide in every bar, no matter how small. The first sentence is always "If you want to be a chocolate connoisseur, DO NOT CHEW the chocolate." What they tell you to do is: Put a piece on your tongue and let it sit there for a few seconds until it starts to melt. Then, turn the piece over and stick it to your palate. Get your tongue in a neutral position, in that neutral position press it lightly against the piece of chocolate that's hopefully still sticking to your palate. Now - mouth closed - take a slow and deep breath in through your nose. Imo this method is actually quite nice, it lets you taste so many aromas. Try it next time 😊
