ASMR | Testing YOUR Super Powers... (You're In A Telekinesis Study) Examination, Check-Up

Hi my loves!!! I had so much fun playing around with some editing in this one...! Not too difficult, but not overly simplified either... I wanted to merge both visual and auditory triggers, and test out if folks get tingles even if you can't "see" the object in question, after I've shown you what it looks like! Experimenting with ASMR is so much fun for me. ^^ I can't wait to hear your experience and if you found this worked for you!!!

🌱 what is ASMR?🌱
ASMR, or Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response, is described as a tingly sensation or feeling that travels from the base of the scalp down the limbs and can manifest in different parts of the body. It causes a lovely, relaxing feeling to the people who experience it, as well as sometimes pleasant 'shivers', and can help with things like insomnia or trouble sleeping. It can occur in situations like hearing a particular sound or 'trigger', and many people experience varying degrees of the phenomenon. Not everyone who listens or watches ASMR videos experiences the sensation however! Some people utilize the sounds of a soothing voice or certain trigger(s) to help fall asleep or relax, without feeling the 'tingles'. It is a blossoming community online, whose main purpose is to bring tranquility and tingles to whoever enjoys it! ✧

oh man this is a huge pet peeve of mine! Telekinesis is moving objects with your mind. tele- like mind, and KINESIS, like movement. Telepathy is reading minds, which i guess is closer to what you meant because you could tell what finger the tester is holding up if you read their mind to tell.

Nice little video; I always like the ASMR RPs about superpowers and/or magic, but it's also doing this thing that bothers me as a nerd of erroneously conflating several different supernatural powers. Telepathy, telekinesis, and empathy are not the same thing. Telepaths can't move things with their minds, telekinetics can't read thoughts, and empaths can feel what others are feeling but can't really read the associated thoughts, and that's not even touching on the subject of implanting thoughts or feelings into someone else. Of course, there are fictional characters who cumulate all of those powers, but it'd still be wrong to put all of them under the single term of "telekinesis".

@@terreliv Nope. The "kinesis" part in both of those words imply powers over matter rather than on minds and thoughts. Kinesis literally comes from the ancient Greek "κίνησις (kínêsis)", which means "movement".

@Poseidonjd That's by literal definition, my dude. A quick internet search finds that both skeptics, believers, and fictional depictions, when they *do* parse a difference? Psychokinesis is using your mind on the world (telekinesis, jedi mind trick, etc) but telekinesis is your mind directly on an object. Like suggesting "Hey pass the salt" vs making the salt pass itself.
