This is one of my all-time favorite movies!! Funny enough, the first time I watched part of it was at my aunt's house from around the corner because only the adults were watching it and the kids weren't allowed (we were told it wasn't appropriate but in retrospect I think they just wanted some time without the kids around lol). Anyways, the few parts I saw were towards the end when shit is hitting the fan and the mummy creeped me out and the swarm of scarabs terrified me. After that, I had recurring dreams for years that the mummy was chasing me bc he wanted to marry me and I would hide under the bed and he would find me and then I would wake up. So, uh, yep, that's my story about The Mummy. Also, great video as always, Amy!

Yeah I had it on VHS...watched it millions of times lol! It's actually what inspired me to study Ancient Egyptian for a while. I had so many books on Egyptian and Coptic hieroglyphics, morphology and phonology it wasn't even funny. But I've always loved Egyptology. The original Star Gate movie was kind of cool too, even though it wasn't really about Egypt. I haven't seen it for years now, but I think I might have to watch it again ^^.

wowwww the fact that your doing this cosplay 👏🏽 im 20 years old and i practically grew up with both films, both having a huge part in my heart and childhood. Brendan F and the rest of the actor's did a phenomenal job and the fact your doing a ASMR on a childhood classic of mine is a *chef's kiss* and i thank you for that ! I think my favorite lines are either "O'CONNELL!" , "Go to hell and take your friend's with you", the part where he literally yells back at imhotep 😂 , and finally about every scene where rick throws a cheesy but good one liner. Thanks for the cosplay and tingles as well as exposing this underrated gem of a classic! We don't talk about the 3rd or remake of a cinematic universe we never even got. Smh 😔😐. The way she described it as if it was no big deal was hysterical! Also love all of Jonathan’s comedic moments. I love the original so much I had ZERO desire to see the Tom Cruise remake. Yes, the original is 20+ yrs old, but it’s such a classic in my mind that it didn’t need to be remade. Also why I haven’t been able to watch the remakes of Carrie & Pet Sematary.
