Tbh all this is doing is getting me excited for my first proper holiday in a long time. I'm going to Cofu, Greece with my boyfriend in August. My bf just said one day that he wanted to book it for us and asked me about dates because I'm on exchange in Amsterdam rn. I would have thought I wouldn't be struggling with my mental health so much here but due to unexpected circumstances I have found myself missing home, my family and of course my bf. On top of those feelings the academic pressures have been unexpectedly harsh - definitely a culture shock. So when he surprised me that day I cried so much because I haven't ever been to Greece and always wanted to go. I have been to London with him and he's visited Amsterdam twice now but this our chance to finally relax in the sun for a week. I cried when telling my mum about it because it honestly made me feel like I didn't deserve him. He's so kind and patient with me rn. She had to remind me I deserve happiness given everything we have been through - won't go through it all but anyway. I'm now just so excited about it. I can't wait to go home and I can't wait for this holiday that will actually feel like a holiday.

Today I got this rash chest after coming out of my pool and it burns when ever water runs over it and to be honest I was scared because I’m not sure if this is serious and it been keeping me up. I had a similar issue last summer, turns out it was the chlorine I used for my pool. Try a different chlorine brand for your pool cleaning & see if that works! Another tip is grab your garden hose & rinse yourself down before swimming, it helps get rid of any bacteria that might have a negative reaction with the chlorine, which is the main cause of chlorine rash. Another tip is to switch from chlorine to bromine, it's so much gentler on your skin and does just as good of a job as chlorine! I personally use Hydria Clear for my pool. Hope you feel better soon!
