The main reason it’s not a real thing is because of how hyper-specific the business model would be, they wouldn’t make nearly enough to stay a company and it would be impractical for the vast majority of potential companies to actually visit the salon. I could, however, see a website based on this process but digitized being viable.

I remember having my first time on the internet and a bunch of furries took me under their care. A really sweet and kind community! Became one myself and made my own fursona (I still have her and draw her occasionally) :3 Sadly my irl friends and school life didn't accept that a lot.
