I listened to the pride and prejudice audiobook recently, and I was drawn to it because it was narrated by Rosamund Pike, the actress that played Jane Bennet in the 2005 movie - it was so good! Also, I highly recommend the audiobook of Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, narrated by the author! :)

So the priory has a companion book called A Day of Fallen Night. It takes place in the same world but at an earlier time. The author recommends reading that one first because it’s easier to get into the world through. Also, both books seem giant because the margins are MASSIVE. I hope you enjoy !

One of the reasons why you are my favorite ASMR artist is because your whole look and presentation of self is so astonishingly reminiscent of that which was affected by prominent women during that classic Jackie Kennedy Era (and such a comparison is meant as a sincerely high compliment). Both the Poppy War & Priory if the Orange Tree remind me of a book I just finished on audible called She Who Became the Sun. I’m usually not an audiobook type of person, especially for fiction, but it was SO GOOD, and the narrator was just s t e l l a r. Definitely recommend, especially because I feel like it’s not as hyped as these two, which leaves enough room for exceeding expectations.

I preferred Priory over the Poppy War, however they are both really good! Priory has so much world building and politics and religion, and I thought it was done really well. It also didn’t feel as long as it was because it was so good! It is also somewhat asian inspired, since there are so many countries in the book. The Poppy War was also really good, R. F. Kuang’s writing is beautiful and I loved the school setting in it! It does get very dark at times so be aware of the trigger warnings. Love your videos so much

I'm so glad you mentioned Maybe You Should Talk to Someone! I just finished reading that one last week after seeing a recommendation on reddit; it took me a few weeks because it's a long book and I only read a chapter or two before bed each night, but each night felt like I was winding down with a friend. I've read other similarly-themed books and sometimes they come across as judgmental while recounting their patients (clients/cases?), which rubs me the wrong way. But Gottlieb isn't like that at all. Highly recommend!
