*** What is ASMR? It’s that tingly sensation that some people get in the back of the scalp, sometimes going down your spine and other parts of the body. It is pleasurable and relaxing. The purpose of ASMR videos is to trigger these tingles by recreating real life based situations that would normally be triggering, or by simply playing with sounds and visuals that work just as well. There's a lot more to that pleasurable physical feeling though. Most ASMR videos provide personal attention and make the viewer feel cared for and safe. I like to believe this feeling called ASMR is a primal body response to the feeling of being safe and loved. ASMR may not only help you relax and sleep, but it can also help you find comfort and can be a powerful tool to be more mindful and deal with stress better. A shortcut to meditation.

This is Classic Pure ASMR. ASMR is meant to focus on the unprepared response to a stimulus. The great pleasure a person may feel through ASMR is derived from the notion that the person did not expect the experienced stimulus to cause such pleasure. That is why frequent repetition of a stimulus or constant exposure may render the person insensitive to the stimulus as the brain loses the "wow" or surprise factor. ASMR is meant to be something random and not rational - not planned or anticipated. I have realized that if you try to rationalize or explain the stimulus or pleasure provided by it, you may end up losing that reaction. Pleasure is to be felt and not explained. With that in mind, ASMR has evolved into a commercial staged vehicle of entertainment - a different kind of pleasure. This is dubbed "pop ASMR". Pop ASMR has an intention to entertain its audience rather than to relax it. Then, there is "Social ASMR" in which vloggers intend to produce ASMR responses on their audience by whispering their vlog content. Here, the stimulus produced is not guided by nervous automation but by social choice. The audience follows he or she whom the audience finds attractive or "worth following". Social and Pop ASMR lead to the commercialization of this indie and obscure art that is becoming a stage circus and losing its vibrant mystery. Both Pop and Social ASMR have led to the direct creation of Fetish ASMR. The more conscious and guided the experience of pleasure is for the individual, the less genuine or long-lasting the pleasure will be. Many ASMR performers now rely on their physical appearance to create pleasure - which many times would ultimately translate into sexual pleasure. When the physical identity of the performer is more of a mystery, the brain is able to take in the true ASMR response better as the sexual response system is not directly engaged. To clarity further this postulate, imagine you want to drink lemonade. If you want to taste the lemon, you avoid using sugar... but if you want to have a wider audience, you add sugar... and more sugar and more sugar... to a point where you are no longer tasting lemon, but sugar. Pure ASMR is lemon. Pop, Social and Fetish ASMR are coated with distracting sugar. With Fetish ASMR, the audience choses the performance based on a sexual fantasy they may have: The Hunk, The Babe, The Doctor, The Super Hero. They do so to engage their brain sexually and consciously. There is already an anticipated and expected pleasure; whereas, in ASMR, you never truly know what you will feel until you face the stimulus. Fetish ASMR is the less genuine form of ASMR as the exposure by the audience from the performer to sexual inuendo or elements, discourages and hinders the true ASMR response. To affiliate ASMR with sexual response would be erroneous as true ASMR produces an unequivocal, surprising and very distinct form of pleasure that is calming, relaxing but yet thrilling and jovial. KZbin has become a host of Pop, Social and Fetish ASMR in the attempt to enlist a subscriber base and profit from it. New performances of classic ASMR are becoming rare as true ASMR is experienced by very few people. Therefore, to create a larger profit that comes from having a larger base, new and sometimes veteran performers are adding sugar, salt, spices and a lot of more things to the Classic lemon flavor. ASMR is becoming a parody rather than an exquisite pleasure. Good examples of Classic ASMR still remain: the intelligible whispers, the sounds of randomness (water drops, thunders, etc), the sounds of irrational responses (tapping, scratching, mumbling, mouth popping, mouth sounds, feet sounds, anything a living organism does unconsciously in response to something... Ask yourself... Why people tap when they are bored?), the sounds of action (sound of cutting with scissors, sound of hammering, sound of washing or scrubbing, etc). ASMR is a language that knows no logic or organization. It has no future or past, it has only a present. ASMR is an art of pleasure felt intrinsically in the now. ASMR can't be remembered or memorized, it can only be felt.

DecaSpace This was a good comment until I hit read more and realized you thought I'd read roughly five paragraphs of text. Though I did read around half way through. You really should of left it after the first paragraph, and saved the rest for some article or something. But based on most of the somewhat mainstream ASMR I've seen, I have to say you're really, and I mean really quite over-inflating the topic. None of what I read past the first paragraph really seems to apply to most asmr I seem to stumble upon.

In none have I seen an ASMR artist be half naked or enhance their sexual appearance. Do they sometimes dress nice or put on more make up for the camera? Sure. But what's wrong with that? If you're going to be on camera for thousands or millions of people then there's nothing wrong with wanting to look nice. And they help if they're naturally hot or attractive wtf? So why blame it on them?

Meditación guiada, tapping, brushing, scratching, inaudible whispering, el sonido "bup" que hacés con los labios, la canción (muy relajante BTW), el efecto de eco en tu voz, la espuma de afeitar, la parte visual.
