As an American temporarily living in the U.K, I would say that I’ve had similar reactions to some of the sweets offered here! Definitely have a lot more that I’d like to try

@@DidoASMR I would say anything made by Cadbury (there’s a lot that we don’t have in the states) and maoam pinballs. We get a lot of U.S. import where I’m at so it can get difficult to find local sweets

Fun fact: U.S soldiers were out of ammunition and the radio heard “Tootsie Roll” so they sent them an entire box of tootsie rolls. It ended up fixing pipes that burst and saved their lives.

I have like a distinct childhood memory of trying Swedish fish in different flavors but it was crazy because for every different flavor it was like a different sea creature. So there was like an orange starfish, a cherry seahorse and like a raspberry dolphin or something like that but they were super good!

Unpopular opinion: Tootsie Rolls are amazing! They don’t really melt, more of just get softer. They also come in small little packages. Usually you can’t buy small ones by themselves tho.

The tootsies roll is basically a cornsyrup choclate taffy and you can honestly just keep it at a room temp and it wont melt. Any temps higher then 80 and it may melt a little

Tootsie Rolls are just chocolate taffy pretty much but they’re good. You did get a huge one though, they’re usually in like little individual bite sized wrappings.

Dido, if you liked Hershey’s chocolate, then you should take a trip to Hershey PA. You’ll see Chocolate World, the factories where they make the chocolate, and the entire amusement park. And there will be TONS of Hershey’s candy to eat!

I’ve never been to Britain so idk anything about their candies (btw that would be a cool video, British candies) but one of the most underrated candy bars in the US is Baby Ruth bars. Idk if they’re sold as common in Scotland honestly they’re pretty uncommon here too but if you see one consider giving it a try😂

The best thing about Mike and Ike was the way it was sponsored back in the Early 2010s (?). Mike and Ike argued and split, and this argument became so big that the company sold each separately with a commercialized comic of their beef on the box. My sister was Mike (I think) and I was Ike (probably). Also, I personally like Red Vine more than Twizzlers, Twizzlers are too sweet and Red Vine is subtle and oddly soft on your taste buds.

Dont worry, your tootsie roll will not melt. Its actually more like taffy than fudge, idk if you have taffy in the UK. They put this stuff in soldier's rations back in WW2 as a special treat bc its so resilient and nonperishable.
