I need your arrchivist opinion on this new "degradable" crackly-ass plastic Bighit is using on photofolio photobooks and on dvds/blurays. I personally hate it with a passion. I like to keep plastics on things to protect from dust and sun, and no matter how carefully I try to open this new platic, it tears and I can't use it anymore. And the crackling drives me insane.😂

Haha yeah it crackles like crazy and breaks right away. I checked up on it and apparently biodegradable plastic is also bad, since they end up creating microplastics and contaminating other plastic recycling streams. I'd personally prefer plastic that I can recycle or no plastic at all.
