USA School Supplies FAQs (Please read this before you go down below to say anything): 1. Omg y'all please calm down about my mistake with the country of origin for the scissors. 2. I bought one of everything on a K-5 supply list for a local elementary school. All items will be delivered and donated to the school. 3. Yes, the schools in the USA really do ask parents to buy things. 4. Yeah, wow, that’s crazy. 5. No, we don’t like it, either, but that’s life. 6. A great deal of the money allocated to “education” in the USA never makes it to the teachers, students, and schools for basic supplies. That is not a subject for this channel. We’re here to relax, not debate stuff. You can do that elsewhere. 7. No matter what country you live in, you have to pay for dumb things, too. 8. No, parents are not punished if they either can’t or won't bring in these supplies. No consequences await those who don’t contribute. However, the teachers and other school staff members often pay for supplies out of their own pocket when no one provides them, and that can cost hundreds/thousands of dollars a year. Hopefully, by donating these things, we can help prevent at least a little bit of that. 9. No, nobody cares to hear how awesome your country is. It's not a contest. No matter where you live in the world, you'll find people who are struggling. Maybe you can take that all-caps energy and help someone in your area. A little kindness goes a long way. 10. The Ziploc bags are used for a variety of things in the classroom. It may seem like a strange request, but they come in handy to store little bits of stuff, fragile projects, and dirty clothes, among other things. 11. I will continue to do these back-to-school shopping trips to help out my community every year, as long as I am financially able to do so. In a perfect world, it wouldn’t be necessary to buy any of these things, but we don’t live in a perfect world. I want to help as many people as I can, for as long as I can. Now that that’s out of the way, let’s relax and enjoy some school supplies. 😊

Love the pin 📍 lol as a kid who's mom couldn't financially support her teachers always we ALL donated our time. I remember helping my teachers after school while I waited for my mom to pick me up after work. Id go to classrooms and help cutting laminated decor and class sets for units and during summer would help decorate classrooms and I helped with a lot of these things for my elementary teachers until I was out of school. And as a teacher's pet let me tell you you are 100 percent right in what supplies the teachers prefer! 😂😂😂 love your channel Mary you do so much good

Aw. I appreciate this. I grew up in a pretty poor house and getting me school supplies was never important to my parents. So I always relied on the people like you with big heart who donated and helped out. It makes a difference. A real big difference. Looking back now I want to do the same and pay it forward. Thank you and all the others who donate their time and money to keep the youth supplied and ready for learning.

I am an American teacher. The fact that you do this is SO extremely appreciated. Each year we are given a set amount ofmoney to purchase these items, but of course we go through them throughout the year. I mean kids seem to eat these pencils somehow?! I spend money each year out of my own pocket for these items, and I am happy to do so to make my classroom functioning for my kids. But these donations by families make things so much easier. Thank you Mary!

What makes the scissor blade safe..?
@faked_my_death4 ай бұрын
The tip is blunted instead of sharp. Which basically means the blade isn't pointy. It's safer for the child using them to not accidentally cut themselves but you could technically still stab somebody with them. Just have to push harder and use more force.
