Boy do I have an update for you. For those of you who didnt catch my community or discord posts, I hurt my back a couple weeks ago. It was an accumulation of
1. getting oldge
2. playing hundreds of hours of gtarp at once
3. contorting myself in pilates
4. beginning a candle passion project that required me
transport hundreds of pounds of supplies
5. starting pickleball
my back was progressively getting more and more sore until I sprained my lower back while playing pickleball 😢 for those of you who know, you know that a sprained back means a bedridden week of pain 😫 i’m not even being dramatic. it unfortunately also happened during one of my busiest times and i had to cancel videos and streams and candle making.
BUT i am all better now!! :) Or well Im better enough to go about my life, but im still taking it easy. I somehow made it to texas for my family reunion and am typing this description on my phone in a guest bed. Thanks for all the well wishes!! ❤️

I used to really hate the headphone scratching, thinking it was worthless, but now I see it more as creating a calm space (versus other ASMR which try to make triggering tingles the main point).

I dislocated my shoulder 3 times and had surgery Jan 2023. Then I dislocated it again Jan 2024. It feels like it’s going to dislocate 2 days a week. I refuse to get another surgery but my sleep is crumbling. These videos help out a lot

I have the same issues with my knees and wrists :( I was diagnosed with EDS (a connective tissue disorder) after the worst of my injuries. I’m still learning to live with it 12 yrs later but being diagnosed has helped me feel a little less uneasy when trying to go about my day. I’m so sorry that you can also relate to feeling so trapped by your own body, but it is nice to know I’m not alone in it. Physical therapy didn’t seem to help me much and once i got over the hurdle of talk therapy, that’s what truly helped me the most (but we are all different! There’s so make kinds of EDS and even those with similar kids thrive best under different care plans) There’s definitely the good days and the bad: we just have to do our best to make the most of the good days so on the bad ones we can truly rest.
