Hey! I played Disco Elysium a few months ago and it became one of my favourites. It's something so unique and special, the journey you take with this shell of a human, to either let yourself fall back to hell, or build everything up from the ground, it's brilliant. The music, the stories of every character you meet, it's just fantastic. If you realy immers yourself in it, it's just gutwrenching but also beautifull.

I often have the Whirling-In-Rags, 12PM music playing in the background while drawing/studying. Something about the music just makes me melancholy but hopeful and calm. I feel like Kim is watching me getting on with work while smoking his one cigarette of the day. I agree with you on the writing being intrusive. I'm somewhat more equipped to handle and process some of the more negative and problematic voices, having guided Harry through them I know how to use that experience to do the same for myself. Which scene hurt you the most? I know there are probably many. You almost teared up a little just thinking about it.

[spoiler alert!!!!!] … … … Here’s a few that come to mind: When I failed the check to talk down Ruby. Telling the working class woman about her husband, plus the “coastal shacks” theme. Doing poorly at the tribunal. (Save scum moment for me… the first time i failed every single red check, except to save Kim) “Accidentally” calling your ex. One thing that I haven’t seen myself that I will NEVER: failing the authority check to get Kim to dance with you. I would never have expected rhe consequences to that one.

@@GentleLiASMR [Major Spoilers] I think that's what amazing about the game, you don't get to be the white knight saving everyone and always doing the right thing. While there are times I've considered save scumming, a part of me just accept that I can't always control everything and letting the story continue to unfold, carrying that pain with me. I also failed Ruby's check, and that guilt I felt was absolutely gut wrenching. Here are a few of the most memorable scenes for me: I think failing THAT check with the phasmid would destroy me, especially after learning there are quite a bit of variations in dialogue based on the choices you've made. Getting to know the real Cuno (he still doesn't care). The walk with Lilienne, so lovely. The "failed" check for the karaoke (fuck off that's the failed check) The encounter with Dolores Dei, which destroyed me like no other after just suffered a break up of my own.
