Superb work. This Omega Pie Pan dial is my favourite of all their dials. Can you confirm, what is the red paint in the centre of the dial for? What part does it play in the process? Is there some underlying sunburst layer or something?
@kirkrichdial2 ай бұрын
Hi, there! Thank you so much for watching and for taking the time to leave a comment! The paint does cover up the pattern in the center, creating a two-tone design on the dial itself. Unfortunately, we cannot say the specifics of the materials that we use as our team would like to keep it a trade secret. We appreciate your understanding. Thank you again and have a wonderful day! 😊

Do you have dies for the Seiko 6139 series of chronographs?
@kirkrichdial2 ай бұрын
Thank you for your question! In general, we do, but there can still be some differences. If you need a specific pattern, it is recommended to send us a photo of the dial through email at info@krdial.com to look for the exact die. If we don't have the die needed, we can always manufacture a completely new die for you, but at an additional charge. We hope this helps!

Superior. I have some Omega Constellation and Seamaster Dials need to restore. How much is the price?
@leoponce89182 ай бұрын

Hi, there! Thank you for watching and taking the time to leave a comment with your insights. Refinishing a watch dial is a completely subjective process. The value is always up to the owner of the watch or a customer who wants to buy it. Some may like collecting vintage pieces that have patina, and there are others who like wearing a watch with a pristine dial on their wrist. For example, some may have a heirloom piece that they want to be restored (which remains valuable to them on a sentimental level) and there are those who want to refinish dials to resell (which can increase in value to those who want a new-looking watch and appreciate the restoration process as a whole). It is just a matter of the customer's preference! Our clients, including individuals, watchmakers, and brand-name manufacturers, have trusted our work for nearly a century now. Despite the fact that most of our clients are knowledgeable and quite well-versed in watches, we will always let them know if we think that a dial shouldn’t be completely restored and provide advice on next steps. We respect all decisions made by the owner regardless of what they decide. We’re just here to show our restoration process 😊

Hi, there! Thank you for watching and for pointing that out. Since there was an inconsistency, this dial will need to be reprinted, however, it does not need to restart its entire refinishing process from the beginning. These videos are purely to show how the restoration works and to bring light to the art of dial refinishing that needs reviving. In the end, refinished dials always go through quality assurance checks by both our team and the owner of the dial to see if any changes needed to be made, redone, or improved. (This isn't shown in our videos). We will always respect the needs of our customer and try our best to get exactly what the customer desires. Even if we send out the dial and the customer isn't happy, we're always glad to take it back and redo it for them. We truly appreciate any support as we try to revive this art form. Thank you again and we hope you have a wonderful day! 😊

Some people like a pristine looking watch rather than a patina-ed one, but yes, the dial looked very nice for its age before the restoration, and I would've certainly kept the original.

By doing these useless jobs on dials that don't need reprinting, you are desecrating history....horrible ethics
@gthedrum2 ай бұрын
As always, it’s down to customer’s choice. Ethics doesn’t come into it when the client demands a pristine looking dial on a classic timepiece. It’s personal taste.
