@@retroguy9494 unfortunally here in Italy, we have 3 different exam's sessions, January- February, June- July, September; this calendar was designed for the necessity to give as many exams as possible in one accademic year, just think about the fact that in the engineering faculty an average student has in just one acc/year a number of exams defined between 8-11 (all different subjects)

Here in the States, the Fall term usually begins between August and September depending on what part of the country the uni is located. And exams are in December. The Spring term begins sometime in early to late January with exams in either April or May. And the shortened Summer term Begins between May or early June and runs through late July or August with exams during both those months.
