I wish I could say i enjoyed abd liked this video but alas, I was disappointed. I appreciate the effort you put into it, but I'm a cosmetologist's child and was taught all about how to care for and cut hair, ect and this was not accurate at all except for a few points. The lathering technique was correct, however you saying 'it's good for your hair' to keep it damp is inaccurate. wet hair weighs down the locks and makes it easier for the artist to cut accurately and judge length esp in curly hair. Straight hair does not need it as much and can be cut wet, damp, or dry without issue. The cutting of the hair, was decent enough but you were also using improper technique but I don't blame you on that. I apologize that I'm so critical but anything regarding the scalp and hair care is my passion since my mother taught me all she knew from Cosmetology school.

I'm a dentist. I can't watch dentist role-play videos because I get distracted by how inaccurate they are. But that's it. I just don't watch them, I don't comment or get frustrated by them, and I'd advice you to do the same. The same thing probably happens to doctors, nurses, optometrists, etc. ASMRtists are just doing their best, looking for a subject they know relaxes people. It's not a tutorial or anything of the sort, they never claim to be professionals, so just let it go.

@@mirrormimi I appreciate your thoughts, and I managed tp watch her other hair cutting and headcare videos and get through my bias/judgment fine and enjoy the videos regardless of their inaccuracies but this one just hit me wrong. I really like Sophie's vids but you're right. From now on I should probably just avoiud her headcare ones. I don't watch any other haircare rps except for this one real barber guy who makes me nostalgic for watchjing my mom work.
