Some of my best ever memories were because of this exact scenario!! I went to a friend's sleepover party during the school holidays when I was 10, the summer before I was due to start highschool. Me and this one other girl were the only ones who couldn't sleep for some reason, so we stayed up until sunrise telling jokes, playing games, sneakily getting snacks from the kitchen, sharing our fears about high school, what things we wanted to do as teenagers and then grown ups, all whilst trying not to wake everyone else up. I never met her before and never saw her again but I still think about it and miss those times. Cece from 2006, if you're still out there, I hope you're doing well girl

I did this once with 4 other girls, yen, weixuan, joey and kim, we had a camp in 2018 and we just huddled in a circle with our sleeping bags swathed around us in a pitch dark classroom, playing truth or dare, and there was so much to talk about, I remember we stayed up til 4 or 5 and slept 2 hours even though we had to get up early the next day. it was sweet and simple and lovely, the highlight of my high school life
