ASMR Whisper: Pokémon Gym Badges Show & Tell

Greetings, tingleheads! In today's video we take a look at some gym badges from the Generation 1 Pokémon games (Red/Blue/Green/Yellow). I show off each badge in turn and whisper a bit about the associated gym leaders, cities, and pokémon. Triggers include whispering, sorting, and clicking sounds. Enjoy!

----- What's ASMR, and why am I whispering? -----
I whisper in my videos because they're intended to trigger a sensation known as ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response). ASMR is a very specific feeling that some people experience when they hear certain soft sounds, like whispering and tapping, or see certain visuals, like deliberate hand motions. It's often described as a pleasant tingling in the head and neck, accompanied by a sense of calmness and mild euphoria. Many people watch ASMR videos to help them relax or fall asleep. My plan for these pins is one day, if I ever have a kid, I'm going to give them my old Game Boy with Pokémon Red, and then as they beat the gym leaders I'll give them each badge IRL. At least, that's how it goes in my head. In reality, they'll probably be like "Daddy, I don't want this old piece of junk, I want a Nintendo 4DS XXL!" :P

Ah, the memories of Pokémon. I even remember the first day I heard of it. The first game I ever played was Fire Red Version. Wish I could try out the original games Red and Blue....... Hmm.... maybe when the 20th Anniversary of the franchise comes along, they'll probably release re-makes for the 3ds. That would be so cool! :)

I always assumed the soul badge and the marsh badge were accidentally flipped. It makes sense.

+doublepoly123 It might seem so, but they actually aren't. The golden color of the marsh badge is linked to psychic powers. This is reflected in the name of psyduck's evolution, Golduck as well. There's some articles on the internet that explain why they are in the correct order much better than I can :).

+Dylan Volckaert but the names should be switched why is Sabrina handed out the marsh badge when marsh sounds like a poison type trainer would hand that to u?and the soul badge? the soul is always (and least for me) associated with the psychic like u said about psychic powers being linked to gold, the gold circle should be named the soul badge and tend vice versa

I can't be the only one who never notices the difference between 60fps and 30fps right? The only thing I notice is that 60fps videos sometimes won't play when 30fps will, usually when my laptops been running for a while.

I think you would notice a difference more if the camera was being moved. Because it is stationary you can't really tell much difference between 30 and 60 fps. I tend to find that 60 fps makes motion blur far less noticeable and far sharper.

AnUnculturedLittlePotato If your not running chrome it wont work, If you are running chrome it has to be in 720p or higher in order for 60 fps to look like it works :)

AnUnculturedLittlePotato I find the difference pretty apparent, but maybe it's more subtle to some. Some browsers and devices also won't display 60fps properly. For instance, my phone won't so 1080p60 properly.

It's very subtle and hard to notice but 60 FPS just makes the video a tad more clear and like 3 dimennsional kind of. I didn't even notice until he mentioned it in the video.

Luca Benziits the cameras auto focus feature, and its damned annoying

Transcending-Nihilism As slipknotfatman says, it's the autofocus mechanism of the camera. It's a new camera so I'm still getting used to recording with it. I'm going to try positioning the mic differently next time to see if I can eliminate the sound. If that doesn't work, I could always set it to fixed focus, but that's kind of a drag because I like being able to focus on things that I bring close to the camera. As for an Italy video, I'd love to do one. I'm still sorting through my photos, but once I've got through them I'll pick a few of my favorites and do a video where I talk about the trip :)

By far my favorite video love this collection and just to make the smallest correction on your part in the anime Giovanni uses Mewtwo against Gary not ash otherwise ash would never have gotten the badge but I'm sure it was that Damn jet lag talking lol keep up the outstanding work.

Sekaye Gaudet I've noticed that if I try to watch in 1080p 60fps on my phone, the audio and video get out of sync. Try lowering the quality to 720p60, or 1080p30, and see if that fixes it.
