For today's video we're looking at The Elder Scrolls Anthology, a boxed collection of all the core Elder Scrolls games to date along with a few extras like maps. As we look at the contents, I talk a bit about the history of the Elder Scrolls series. Triggers include whispering, tapping, and shuffling. Enjoy!
The full-length Elder Scrolls maps show & tell video is now up! Watch it here: • Soft-Spoken ASMR: Elde...
---- What's ASMR, and why am I whispering? ----
I whisper in my videos because they're intended to trigger a sensation known as ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response). ASMR is a very specific feeling that some people experience when they hear certain soft sounds, like whispering and tapping, or see certain visuals, like deliberate hand motions. It's often described as a pleasant tingling in the head and neck, accompanied by a sense of calmness and mild euphoria. Many people watch ASMR videos to help them relax or fall asleep. To learn more about ASMR, I recommend checking out asmruniversity..... Happy tingles!

Your new camera is awesome! Adds a whole new level of quality to your videos! Not a huge fan of 60fps though, but I still love your stuff! :) This box set is really nice! I prefer JRPGs, but I definitely wanted to try Skyrim a while ago (also thanks to your Wanders!). Unfortunately it's not my thing, but it's a fantastic game in general and I can definitely see why The Elder Scrolls games have such a huge fanbase! Perfect video as always! as much as I enjoyed oblivion and skyrim, it will never compare to my experience with Morrowind. The world in Morrowind was so different and amazing.. And they don't hold your hand as they do in the later games, which only added to the realism of being thrown into a world you knew nothing of.
@theASMRnerd
@theASMRnerd 8 жыл бұрын
I completely agree! While I enjoy all the TES games, Morrowind is the most memorable for me. Part of that could be due to the age when I played it though. The nostalgia is strong with that one.

Lycidas All i'm gunna say is if you started with Skyrim and you're going back to play Morrowind, you best have patience because #1 no matter how powerful your system is, if you download mods/enbs/reshades etc to top up the visuals and it will cut your fps in half, #2 Morrowind does not hold your hand AT ALL like literally you are just dumped into the world nothing like Skyrim. Personally I started with Skyrim then Oblivion and tried so hard and I mean so hard to go back and play Morrowind but I just can't. I really regret not starting with Morrowind. If anyone is reading this right now for some reason and they're wondering where to start with the TES series, seriously start with Morrowind.

I love all the elder scrolls but Morrowind was such an amazing game. Morrowind has this mysterious and almost magical atmosphere that the other games just dont have. Dont get me wrong i love skyrim and oblivion (especially shivering isles) but it feels like something is missing, like their hitting a flat note somewhere. And not to mention the island of Vvardenfell is designed soo well. Think about the beautiful sheogorad islands and vivec city, then the musky swampy bitter coast, and then the dry dusty ashlands. Morrowind was a truly amazing game that will always have a special place in my heart..... Id like to think if the world of Tamriel was real, that i would probably live on Vvardenfell somewhere :,)

I totally agree. It was the mystery of seeing impossible things like a city made from a crab shell or the stilt striders or the raining stones. The other games try to be too real with mostly humans with Knights and armor - just medieval basically. Less amazing sights.

+Valtteri R. I agree - I've played all 3 of them, but started with Morrowind, so mine could be nostalgia. I probably put about 150 hours into Morrowind with multiple characters, currently at 75 with Skyrim, and might start a new character, and probably 10 into Oblivion. I played Skryim before Oblivion, and Oblivion just feels like hot garbage next to it. Too easy, and the setting is too bland. Morrowind's was very alien, and Skyrim's is very rugged. And Morrowind's story is easily my favorite. It's huge!

PSA: i am most certainly not sober while writing this. but i gotta share my thoughts why morrowind just nailed the ES formula while missing it completeley... think about your personal morrowind playthrough: it either hits the story itch just right or the gameplay itch.... the story was just amazing....and it didnt matter whit type of character the nerevarine was....you had political intrigue on a grand scale....a big heap of mysticism plus the necessity to prove yourself as bing the actual fulfillment of the prophecy...if you'd fail it, there was a reasonable plot hook to assume someone else who came after you you would. its a "chosen one" story built upon believeable assumptions....so rare to find nowadayas but for most people morrowind was a sandbox...a sandbox that gave you reasonable paths to bend the world to your will....a world that has you starting as a normie who learns and trains to become a someone, to become a hero, to become a godlike to get bashed down by obstacles but later grow to overcome such obstacles and feel like you have a place of power in the world....it was an alien world but it was believable, structured and thought out..... i miss that kinda stuff in later ES games....the believability of the constructed world....i terms of story and gameplay was never as good as in morrowind in my opinion.... yes it was my first ES experience but i still play it today and couldnt bear oblivion or skyrim for more than a couple hours because they gave me the feeling of being the unchallenged hero of the story with way too much power

When I played Oblivion I first became the Grey Fox then got angry I was being chased all the time so spent a week training all my skills till I was overpowered. Joined the Dark Brotherhood and teamed up with Shadowmere. Went through the 2nd oblivion gate picked up Hatreds Soul and tracked down Umbra killed him to get Umbra's sword. Then, starting with the Imperial city, went city to city as the Grey Fox riding on Shadowmere slaughtering every character I could kill till no one was left in Cyrodiil. I turned the Grey Fox into a mass murderer, created my own storyline, the destruction of Cyrodiil through the tragedy of the Grey Fox. Grey Fox got tired of being chased everywhere he went so he was forced to kill everyone so he could travel in peace. I had the best time with this story it was a true Shakespearean tragedy.

I own the Legendary Edition of Skyrim on PS3. Fun game, though at one point, I was constantly under attack from guards from all corners of the land. All because I decided to mess around with one guard, and maybe break into a house or two. So inconsiderate of them, you know?

60 fps for the win, good luck in Italy, hope you have a good time, and also how do you record your voice cause I've noticed it jumping around in volume a little and i was just wondering if its the cameras mic or a separate mic that's somewhere else.

23:00 I'm certain the only reason the Mod Workshop was a thing for Skyrim is the fact they wanted to try a test run to see how well it would go so they could do a full implementation for Fallout 4. Skyrim had been out for quite a while, they probably felt like it would be a good opportunity with lower risks.

Oblivion is my favourite game to play. I haven't really had chance to play Morrowind properly, because I have a bug on it, I assume I can't fix, or the game just isn't registering when I try to hit something.

If you mean that when you're attacking an enemy, your blows aren't connecting, it's because Morrowind's Combat and Skill system is based very heavily on probability, much like an old Dice RPG. At low levels you may struggle to damage an enemy, as a reflection of your skill with the weapon in question. Hope that was helpful!
