I remember when I was about 5 we were living back and forth from both my grandparents homes and we didn’t have a lot of money for Christmas so a church donated presents to us. I got a porcelain doll and to this day I still have it 27 yrs later and I collected others as I got older. Also I remember we always opened presents on Christmas Eve because my day worked Christmas Day as a CNA at nursing home I have many other good ones but those were some of my fave memories

I'm due on the 23rd and the DIY aspect of holidays that comes with kids excites me. I'm overwhelmed (my first, so it's very daunting and new, and a little scary) but stuff like that helps soften it a little bit. Also on a blood thinner, just for the third trimester and 3 months postpartum thankfully but MAN big solidarity there. I had DVT in 2021, they're pretty sure it was provoked by an IV or from severe anemia, but being on hormonal birth control at the time, they can't rule out estrogen being a factor so it's precautionary. You do what you have to do, but it isn't fun. Never thought I could handle giving myself injections every day but here I am!

I’m with you my friend - I did the blood thinners and yes it’s amazing what we are capable of. Honey for me, labour and birth were empowering and not as scary as everyone made it out to be. It is overwhelming but if someone offers help let them but if they want to give you advice you don’t want - smile, nod and do it your way!!!

@@Angelonmyshoulder I'm honestly worried about the sleep deprivation 😅 like no matter what happens the baby has to come out one way or another so my anxiety isn't too big about that. I just keep reminding myself people have done this as long as we've existed and everyone's made it so far so I will too.
