“Jen” reminds me so much of one of my first bosses! She acted very nice on the outside but was deliberately exploiting her employees and young interns. I worked for her for a whole year before I finally stood up for myself and quit! To this day I was still never paid for my last MONTH of work. It was a hard lesson for me too that not all “nice” people are actually nice. And having boundaries does not make you “mean” or “egotistical”!

This was lovely to wake up to this morning! Can't think of a better way to start my Saturday! Always enjoy your rambles and stories! I'm so sorry you had to experience this but thank you so much for sharing! Sounds like you dodged a bullet with that absolute unprofessional mess of dance classes! That Jen woman sounds off her head! You are so so talented, Glow and I'm sure your book will allow more people to recognise that as much as we all do. Your dancing is amazing too and you deserve so much better than that. I thought it was so kind and brave of you to help care for and stand up for those girls. You have nothing to hate yourself for. You stepped up and did what you could and what you thought was right and that's amazing! You should be so proud of yourself. You have such a kind heart, Glow and that is one of my favourite things about you. The fact that you continued to stick at it despite everything that was unfolding shows just how dedicated you are and is one the many things I really admire about you. I mean, you uploaded an hour long video when you said you were taking a break! That's amazing, Glow! Truly! I think this was a very inspirational story and I could probably do with an experience like this myself as you can probably tell and kinda a pushover myself and I hate to hurt people's feelings. Experiences like this make us better rounded people. You truly are a gift from heaven that keeps on giving! 💜

I'm kinda like you where I tend to avoid confrontations where possible (my mom is the opposite so i think its a result of balancing that lol) but growing up u realize some things are really just unfair and wrong, and if you could just say something about it you can totally flip a situation over. Still working on it myself. I think it's a form of "boundaries". Thanks for the video despite taking a break for yourself ❤

Absolutely insane story but from what I’ve heard about kpop training, not surprising. I know the bigger companies are able to give their trainees much better amenities but I can’t imagine about those smaller companies. I went through something similar only it was related to purely acting. I signed up for a class in my home country after I returned from the US (where I studied acting previously). All was ok until they decided to make a short film and asked each of us to pay 3k (we were around 10 students I think). I thought it was very off and raised the issue not only to the teacher but also the students. The teacher and I got into an argument and he told me ‘I had already said yes’ to which I said I had not said yes to anything, I said I’d think about it and I didn’t sign anything about me paying him 3k and participating. Thank god I was able to pull out and tag a couple of other students with me as well. Not sure if they ever ended up producing the film.
