Subscribed for the channel name alone. Glad it's not named British Gentleman ASMR. I don't know why it irks me, that the English, is now referred to as the British 🧐😒🙄 And this is coming from an American. If anyone knows the reason behind this, please enlighten me. Thank you so much Spring Notes and it’s lovely to have you on board! It’s an interesting topic you raise on national identity. One theory could be linked to empire - those that may identify as being part of the head of the ‘British Empire’ thus identifies as British, those who focus more on the individual traits of the individual nations may refer to themselves as English, Scottish, Welsh, northern Irish etc. I have always grown up with a love of English history as opposed to the global empire, hence the channel name. Thank you again for your sub across the pond!
