⁠logically no, they can’t really be compared since you make monthly payments on a phone. No one buys a phone for the microphone they buy a phone to get a phone, the microphone isn’t as good as other microphones so the pricing has nothing to do with the actual mic itself 🤦‍♀️

how do you make your mic so sensitive? Most ASMR creators I listen to have to get really close to the mic to generate the same sound that you do from far away.

I mean the phone mic is probably better quality than my old $5 jack mic, iphones are expensive and you'd want it to at least do the phone part well. Edit: Yeah I just googled the iphone built in mic and it costs about $50 for a replacement, so not really a $0 mic. I can't believe the earbuds with the mic are a whole $30 though, dang, I'm sure most off-brand ones that work for other phones are only $10-$15. Apple love to charge extra for the bare minimum I guess. Ooh thanks for the recommendation on the FiFine mic. I might look for one.
