I've seen this free-hand arching before by guitar makers, it never ceases to amaze me! I'd be sweating balls trying to make it happen, and I'd question every swipe I took with the gouge! Exciting stuff.

How do you make the blades for your amazing bow saw ?

Great job there , keen to have a go at making one myself for the experience because I know there would be heaps of mistakes in it , seeing the wood your using I have no idea what species that is , I can see it’s very well selected as the grain runs across the violin in stead of length ways which makes for better shaping with your gouges , I nearly over looked that if that was the intention or not but it makes sense to me for better shaping . 👍

Do you thin your glue for rub joints or just use your same ratios for all hide glue application

I use same ratios for everything, except when joining the neck
