Honestly, from the title i expected a love letter that got accidentally mailed, and then... oof. Very good, but the tone shift from what i was expecting definitely threw me! And now my brain is pondering the difference between finding a letter and finding a *note* and this... feels like the latter? Weird usage nuance, i guess. But it's definitely the kind of thing that makes your stomach drop if you find it. Props to speaker for recognizing that "I'm okay with an unreciprocated relationship if it means you're happy" is maybe not very healthy. Very self-aware... and fortunately listener does actually reciprocate. This was lovely, i will remain the loudest preacher at the pulpit of "Use Your Words!" but that's not how we get all these wonderful stories. (Telling a friend "I think you're neat and would smooch you if that was mutually desirable but no worries if not" lacks a lot of that tension and cuts right to the point, great for my psyche but not for narratives.) And your yawns are cute, you just have to own it! 💜💜💜
