Just want to encourage everyone not to give up if your first therapist doesn’t feel like a good match. My first therapist told me I needed to “just get over” my traumas. Not helpful. I kept looking and I found an amazing doctor who’s been my therapist for nearly 5 years now. He’s helped me cope with the worst times of my life and I’m not sure where I’d be without him. Sending you all lots of love 💕

I found a very good therapist too, he has been treating me for the last 20 years now.

Only watched your intro so far Sophie but well done for recognising that you need some help and showing others there is no shame it. I hope your sessions help you get through this difficult time. Sending lots of healing thoughts ❤

I remember my first therapy session. I was 20 and I more or less told her my life story up until that point (the "trauma" stuff) and I didn't even finish until halfway through my #2. I'm about to turn 28, and I'm STILL seeing her, but the progress I HAVE made has been invaluable.

Sophie your energy is so sweet, gentle, and authentic. i feel so sorry you had a bad experience, i wish i could comfort you and listen to you as a therapist would, to return the compassion and love you radiate to us. With that said, you are still shining bright as ever, and i pray you have all of the peace you seek 🙏❤️

Thank you so much for this video. I had my baby 8 months ago nearly and I have postpartum depression so it’s nice to know that I can relate someone else. People don’t understand how hard it is after giving birth and all the emotions! Stay strong Sophie ❤️

There are so many wonderful things about this video but I loved the attention to detail to include the data protection steps you're taking with our notes. Demonstrating safety before we even get into it.

I suffered post natal depression for four months after the birth of my daughter in 2002 and I also had a difficult vaginal delivery after an 18 hour labour. I also had to go back into hospital 3 days later due to feeding problems. She was also 2 weeks early. I wasn’t lucky enough to have counselling as I live in a regional town in Australia where mental health services are virtually non existent. I was also treated badly by the midwives and judged. Luckily, all came out well and my daughter is now a beautiful and healthy young woman. The doctor and midwife at the birth were wonderful. Yes, parenthood is one of the hardest jobs I know, but also the most rewarding. She has made it so worth it and we’ve always shared a close bond.
