That people was a Praktica LTL East German SLR camera that’s about 50 years old, from back when you had to wait weeks to see if your photos came out correctly. Great prop for the excellent video.

Omg, I love that there’s no tapping in this! The sound of the tapping in and of itself doesn’t bother me, it’s actually the overly long, awkward, weird way so many (not all) ASMRtists do it. It’s just like “please stop tapping that bottle of foundation endlessly while you look at me like you’ve lost your mind.” I know some ppl like it and that’s great. But idk, I like videos that are super realistic, and if a makeup artist was doing that irl, I feel like I’d suddenly remember I had another appointment.

I'm not a fan of all the hand/finger stuff in the camera but I rarely watch as I'm hooked on her voice and diction. So relaxing and soothing. I press play, close my eyes and let her voice sink in. Also, I've been in the chair a few times (couple movie extra parts and indy music videos) and she nailed it. Makeup and hair artists are the counselors/therapists on the set lol. And every one I ever sat for did actually explain everything they did as they did it, was educational and relaxing. Major kudos on another great vid.
