They are a form of moxa, called cone moxa. Its a form of heat therapy from chinese medicine. Often see the large cigar sized ones used during acupuncture treatments to focus heat on an area, usually a pressure point or meridian. Even if you dont believe the stuff about increasing the flow of energy and Qi, it does help to warm the area, increase blood flow and reduce inflammation.

@KellieAnn712 ай бұрын
Sometimes popping your neck will rupture your vertebral artery and cause a stroke.
@lukeuseforce2 ай бұрын
@@KellieAnn71 Yes, I think a lot more people know this nowadays. I would like to know the "how" this happens(direction of neck movement ?) vs the tens of thousands of people that get their necks cracked everyday around the world, and it doesn't happen. Maybe its more in line with what I believe Dr. Chris Raynor said. Something to the effect of repeated neck cracking can damage the artery walls overtime, causing scarring or tissue buildup within the artery. At some point later, the tissue breaks free, like a scab on your skin, and flows up into the brain causing a stroke. He thinks the rate of which this occurs from chiropractors is extremely unreported.
