at 7:55 the knight can go to g4 because after queen takes you can go d5 which attacks the bishop and queen. also it takes away some of whites development so it is winning for black
@megamizer9051 Жыл бұрын
The queen doesn't have to take, I think after knight g4 white can go bishop f7, it gives a check and takes a pawn, after the king takes you can take the knight on g4 and win a better position ( d5 does not work for black after bishop takes) :) I'm not sure tho, just seems like the best solution.

Another way black may neutralize is playing bishop b3 to check and then when white blocks with knight black plays queen g5 threatening g2 and the knight simultaneously. If you sack and play queen b2 next they capture on g5 and take alot of material back

@PizzaChess69 Жыл бұрын
15:25 I play e5 anyway. If they dare to capture, I sacrifice Bf7+, and after Black takes my Bishop, I play Qxd8. If Black plays Ke7 instead of Kxf7, I just play Ba3+ and force either Kxf7 or, if they're really daring, Kf6, where they'll get murdered pretty quickly, and either way I can capture the Queen. This is literally a completely forced Queen loss the moment they play dxe5.

8:17 why doesn’t black move queen to block knight from being taken by forcing check
@ASMRChess Жыл бұрын
Good question! In fact your move (Qe7) is the third most played move in that position. However white gains a significant advantage by mirroring blacks move (putting their own queen in front of the king with Qe2). This renews the threat of pawn takes knight and black has no good squares. Black can try and fight by going Nh5 with the plan of Qb4+ after QxN, but white still retains their advantage if they play accurately.

I'm a beginner at best, but my gut is telling me I see a good move, but because it wasn't mentioned, my head is telling me its a bad one. At 4:00 I want to play queen b3, making a battery with the white square bishop. I think that's a checkmate threat if bishop takes on f7. That's a forcing move, and I feel like forcing black to make moves when they are behind on development and their pieces are closely packed together could be a great advantage for white. What am I missing that could make this blow up in white's face? There are a few other points in the video where my beginner brain thought that a similar pattern of white square bishop battery with the queen targeting f7 could work.
@Chairemiah Жыл бұрын
Listen to your head on that one. For instance, if you move queen to b3 black can take rook on a1 and make a knight which threatens your queen on b3 and then you have to move the queen again, which gives black back some tempo. Even if black doesn’t realize they can do that, and you get your battery of queen b3 and bishop c4, black can develop by moving their knight to h6 and that prevents bishop taking f7, or they can develop the queen to e7 or f6 which then again makes white lose any real threat while black is developing. So, that battery actually doesn’t help white even though black is behind on development and their pieces are close together. With the right moves, black could make white lose the advantage. Let me know if that makes sense
@insanebox3694 Жыл бұрын
Nice nice nice! Great explanation!
