I love watching your drawing videos. It’s a “hit two birds with one stone” situation where I learn a bit of digital art and get sleep as well.

actually you could say 3 birds with one stone since when you sleep you train things into your long term memory 💡

Just what I needed to get through another boring day of coding. You know, you always create clipping masks but I realize I've no idea what they actually are/do. What is a clipping mask, Allie?
@ASMRGalaxy3 жыл бұрын
Heey Davee, coding? That sounds exciting. Clipping masks are for me to draw inside the shapes without having to erase anything that gets outside the shape. It allows me to draw just inside the “previous” shape. 😊 it saves a ton of time ❤️

@@ASMRGalaxy aha, that makes sense. Well thats super cool, thanks for the explanation. And I love coding, it's my passion, but the stuff I've been doing for work lately has been mind-numbing. It's about time I launch into a meaty side project to remind myself why I love programming in the first place.
@ASMRGalaxy3 жыл бұрын
Oh, i know the feeling. Yes definitely get on a project that relates to what you enjoy about coding, otherwise your passion for it will be overshadowed by what you do now at work. I’m at the exact same place now, and waiting for Q3 to end, so that things can get quiet and i can focus on some personal projects to regain my passion. I wish you all the best, i wish i could learn coding but it looks so complicated and difficult.
@davekelly86443 жыл бұрын
Honestly once you have the basics down it's pretty simple. You just form the logic in your head and then write the simple "sentences" that instruct the computer what to do. I feel the same way about art. It looks too complicated for me but it'd be cool to learn. And I'm sure you're sitting there thinking "Oh art is simple." It's all about perspective. I'm starting a new project tomorrow because of your encouragement. And I hope your Q4 is quiet enough for you to work on your passion project as well!
@ASMRGalaxy3 жыл бұрын
I think i kind if get it, it’s like forming a structure for something and then working on the little details that make the whole code complete ( or i might have it wrong lol 😆). But it’s very interesting, you must be really smart. And now that you mention it, you’re kinda right, some things we do repeatedly might seem easier to us than to someone watching. Thank you for always being here ❤️, and i hope your work gets a bit easier, or some projects more exciting.

How can you draw without any reference photo all the time??
@ASMRGalaxy3 жыл бұрын
If it’s stuff i’ve painted before it’s easy. Try painting 3-4 apples from different references. The 5th or 6th time, you’ll be able to paint one without a reference.
