hello jade! as the new year approaches i want to thank you for all the dedication and love you put into uploading consistently. i’ve been watching your videos for years now and i’ve kept up with your health journey every step of the way, as if you’re a friend. i remember in a Q&A one time you said “never take your health for granted” and it stuck with me. i didn’t take my health for granted but i very recently found out i have a chronic illness. all the random little health issues ive been having for the past 2 years lead up to me having POTS. honestly i’m really struggling to find some normalcy in all the chaos. this is all coming up 2 months before i’m an “adult” (aka 18) and it’s so overwhelming trying to think of anything ahead of me right now. *this* is going to be the rest of my life, or it will be for a very long time. do you have any words of advice? absolutely no pressure to respond to this at all! it’s not your job to be my therapist all the love in the world

hi pauline 💗 firstly, thank you so much. it means the world to me that you've kept up with my videos and actually listened to what i've had to say. i hope you find comfort in knowing you're not alone facing these health battles. i can completely understand what it's like to experience the confusion and diagnosis of a chronic illness - whilst it's not the same, I can relate to how you are feeling. my advice is not medical advice at all but from my own experience, the best thing i could do was switch my mindset from "oh no this is for the rest of my life and i'm so sad about it" to "time to learn the new norm of how to manage this condition so that i can get my quality of life back and LIVE". there will be times where you will mourn the life that you thought you were going to have in adulthood but remember that you are not alone in this. sending lots of love to you x
