That's actually fascinating to me, listening to someone whisper over triggers frustrates me sometimes because I can't hear the trigger properly 😂 I like the sound of whispering and I like triggers, and I think Rhi does a good job at pausing her speech to allow us to hear triggers, but some asmrtists I swear don't stop talking 😂😂 glad this works for some people tho!

@@teacup17 basically an aversion to particular sounds or sound patterns. A lot of people think they have it because they hate the sound of people chewing. Hating the sound of people chewing is not a disorder, it’s an instinct lol. It’s much more than that. The reaction to the sounds that negatively trigger someone with misophonia is usually a feeling of violence or rage, internally or externally. For example, these are very specific, but… one of mine is the videos on 60 Minutes Australia KZbin channel. The absolute stooges in the audio department place the lav mics DIRECTLY at the base of the throats of the subjects on camera. It picks up every single last disgusting noise happening in their throats and the thought of it right now is making me so angry. Another of mine is any audio from a GoPro cam, but particularly audio involving water. The way water sounds on a GoPro makes me want to throw myself off a cliff.

I was starting to be tingle immune as well but I found that every time I think that, I go straight to Rhi’s semi recent video where she’s just using hard covered books and immediately I get it back. I got tingles from this video right from the start 🎆 It's really surprising because I hardly ever get them, I can count on one hand the times I got tingles x) I think maybe it's because of how far the mics are positioned from each other, both channels sound so different it's having that unanticipated effect. Dude mine as well. Literally NO ONE gets their audio as perfectly as she does. It’s obvious she goes in afterward and edits - removes most background noise without it affecting or distorting the remaining audio in any way, there’s a treble decrease which is the MOST annoying thing about everyone else’s videos, she bass boosts I’m sure, AND THE LEVELS THE AUDIO. It also doesn’t sound like she does it in a large empty room or a room with flat, bare walls. But to top it off, her hand movements and gestures never feel unintentional or absent minded. It never feels like flutters or taps just to make tap sounds. It genuinely feels to me like she is extremely deliberate. Like she has studied the receptors in the brain and knows exactly how to connect the dots in every possible way that causes a tingle. Maybe I’m biased, but I don’t think I’m wrong lol. However! If you’re at all interested in a completely different ASMR style, I can’t praise ATMOSPHERE enough. I will always prefer Rhi’s channel and audio over anyone else’s, but the crazy story and ARG that ATMOSPHERE has created (it literally has a fan theories Google doc about all the clues and such) is so interesting and different. It’s worth checking out for sure :) But then come back here of course ;)
