Super soothing as always. I love your whisper style and tapping (and, of course, the books). This month I read Charlie Jane Anders' "All the Birds in the Sky". It's a sci-fi/fantasy fusion that follows the friendship and lives of a female witch and a male tech prodigy as they try to predict and prevent the next disaster. It got mixed reviews but I absolutely adored the characters and the world-building.

One of the things, which stood out to me after reading "Hot Milk"- was when the doctor said to Sophia "You are limping the same way your mother does". Sophia did not have an issue with her legs, her mother did and yet, she took over her mother's behaviour. I think it happens in our life too. We adopt someone else's habits, behaviours, even some of their "hypochondria", unconsciously. Does it mean we become our environment whether we want it or not?🙂 Also, Sophia was working on her Master's and yet, in the medical form, she wrote that her occupation was "Waitress". Please do not get me wrong- nothing wrong with being a waitress. My thought on it is- would our occupation make us who we are as a person? Does it have an impact on our personality or rather our personality has an impact on our work/occupation? What are your thoughts?🙂
@asmrmayth3 жыл бұрын
I love such conversations! Sophia's unconscious limping also stood out to me, and I think we absolutely become our environment in some parts, whether we want it or not. It shapes us starting from our childhood and it definitely becomes part of our identity. Concerning the occupation dilemma... I am not sure. I think in Sophia's case, it was just her not feeling connected, not feeling like she belonged to any type of work-community. Thank you so much for commenting! 💞

real question: do you think in polish or in english or both? i'm genuinely curious
@asmrmayth3 жыл бұрын
To be honest, it depends. I kind of adapt to whatever I'm doing/reading/using at the moment. If I'm reading an English book, my thoughts about it will be in English but if it's in polish, then I naturally switch. Same goes for using recipes, watching yt videos etc. But if it's just randomly floating thoughts - I noticed most of the time they'll be in English.

@dariabarcz53923 жыл бұрын
