I make a couple different versions. My favorite is my mom's recipe . Chuck roast, Chopped onion Bell peppers Roma tomatoes Bay leaves Minced garlic (stuffed in different parts of the roast cut holes and stuff) Top with flour on each side of roast Your favorite steak seasonings/roast Paprika for that perfect reddish gravy Fill roast pan to height of roast (don't fill past chopped peppers, onion and tomatoes) Cool in oven on 395/400 until it's tender of your choice. 2. My hubby loves the Mississippi crock pot recipe as well. I been making it since 2019. 3. There's a Mississippi chicken crockpot recipe as well. (That's my Favorite)

Yours looks really good! I really want to use broccoli now… Information Comment (from someone born and raised in Mississippi): Mississippi Pot Roast has many recipes based on preferences. My preference: I cook mine in a slow cooker (crockpot) on low for about 8-10 hours. I like to use 2 packets of onion soup mix per roast. I add 2 large onions, about 2 cups of medley potatoes, and 1 cup of sliced large carrots (depending on my cravings). When the roast is cooked through, I use 2/3 of the stock to make a gravy wether it be beef gravy or tomato gravy. I then add the gravy back to the pot, stir, and let cook for another 30 min. It is good served with/over southern biscuits, mashed potatoes, and/or rice. I also like to eat stewed green beans on the side. I always like to have a green side with my meals. Enjoy!
@ASMRPhan2 жыл бұрын
Ohhhhh sounds wonderful!!!! In the beginning clips I showed green beans on the plate. My husband prefers green beans as his veggie of choice Hahaa. So I’ll have to do stewed green beans next time. How do you make that? I’ve used the onion soup packet before I think?….is it the same packet we make dips? I’ll have to go look at the store next time and see lol If you have twitter tweet me a photo if you have it lol. mobile.twitter.com/asmrphan?s=21 🤗 TWEET ME FOOD PICS!

Idk how I ever missed this video , but man Mississippi pot roast is Soo good every time I eat roast in general I gotta have some hot sauce I swear it enhance the flavor really good!! Also , You should try skotheref potatoes and sausages the ones in the seafood boil but chopped up! Burnt a bit! Theybtaste best that way , with bell peppers n onions seasoned to your like. To smothered potatoes all you have to do is cut them up in pieces or slice them , add water and a bit of oil. Put top over stir them continuously season them let them cook down more then done!!

Hi Phan! I watch all of your videos and love them so much! But I had a question on the seafood boil sauce.. I watch it a lot but idk at what point do you cook the shrimp n crab legs? How can I cook the seafood before going into the sauce?
@ASMRPhan2 жыл бұрын
Hi Elizabeth!!! I cook the seafood separately. Depending on what I have that day. Usually crab first then shrimp after. If I have lobster that goes in after the shrimp. I do it this way so I don’t over cook anything. If I have sides I do those before seafood. Eggs, potatoes then corn. All separately in fresh water each time. 😊 you can always cook everything together. It’s really personal preference. My friend does it all in one huge pot then throws them in sauce and bakes them
@elizabethjimenez9452 жыл бұрын
@@ASMRPhan thank you for replying! But 1 more question... lol do you cook the shrimp n crab in seasoned water since the sauce is already seasoned?
@ASMRPhan2 жыл бұрын
@@elizabethjimenez945 you can season it with whatever you like. Some will add whole onions and lemon with old bay. You can do it plain and just toss it in the sauce afterwards. It really depends on what you want. So a couple seasoned and a couple not seasoned. That way you can decide on what you like better ❤️. There’s even seafood boil seasoning bases too! I’ve had friends used seafood boil liquids as well. You can get it all at the groceries. The sauce is really what you dip it in. I just do it all in once so I don’t have to go back and forth 😂
