hi Rebecca, as someone ready pointed out, the volume was a little low but in general the mic seems to be pretty good ... I actually do enjoy this type of videos, I'd like top see them more often ... thanks for your videos btw

I watch your longer videos (like this) because they are relaxing and help me wind down. Tapping noises, and for some reason unknown to me, the clicking and snapping you do, are my favorites.
@UnnamedThe Жыл бұрын
Great! I watch this series for two reasons. 1) I like guessing the items. 2) I have huge trouble falling asleep at night. Mind is racing without any direction. I always look out for asmr that I can close my eyes to. Then I can just lay down comfortably and try to fall asleep during the video while having something to do AND be stimmed with triggers. So yes, I'd love you simply naming the item after you uncover it. As for further suggestions: so far I've see you predominantly use objects, that are like one solid thing, apart from the deck of cards. How about something like a jar of coffee beans you stir for sound. There's surely many objects that are like that and make different sounds. I've also seen a video of someone putting small objects inside of a balloon and then spinning it around on the inside. This made very interesting sounds. Anyway. Thank you again for another video. I hope you're gonna have heaps of fun with the new mic!

The quality of the mic is good, just needs some more volume :) As far as the video, love it! I like when you give the answers after and personally I think it would be neat to hear what other answers you would have accepted! The whole time I was watching I was trying to think of an actual scoring system like "Well that guess was *kind of* right, but not exact, might be worth 3 points" or "that answer was really close! I think that's 8 points!" It would be cool to actually track how well I can guess! The only two where I was flat out wrong were the pineapple pop it thing and the wooden massager at the end. Wasn't even almost close on either of them. Deck box was spot on The cards themselves I was close, i thought it was a couple business cards you were sliding around or something. I knew it was some kind of card on card sound, just didn't think of the whole deck! Definitely love the little game.

I like the guess that’s sound videos because when I watch regular ASMR I can relax too much where I start just thinking random thoughts, which then keep me awake. Whereas when I’m focusing on something that keeps me engaged like guess that sound I can let my body relax for like 10 minutes without dissociating mentally from the ASMR. But also because I’m partially thinking I’m not actually relaxing as much as other videos, so I tend to use guess that sound as like a penultimate ASMR video before I sleep. I’ll usually watch a 2-3 minute hand sounds video or something just to relax me mentally to match my body. So maybe it would be cool if you did like 1-2 minutes of generic ASMR sounds with the outro. Idk if anyone else agrees? Plus I also find ASMR channels that do their outro and then do another 1-2 minutes of no talking ASMR relaxes me more. Pear ASMR is very good at that. She says her goodbye then gives us 1-2 minutes of sounds.Which makes it easier for me to fall asleep.

One thing that I would recommend is making a larger variety of sounds with an object, as guessing off of one sound can be difficult as many objects can sound similar. However when making multiple sounds, it can help to rule out other possibilities.

Thank you for your dedicated work. May I suggest to incorporate light triggers into "Guess the sound" type of videos"? Hey Rebecca, is your butterfly tattoo based on the butterfly effect? I noticed your butterfly in the last video, but just now I think I had my Sherlock Holmes moment when I noticed the dominoes and it clicked in my mind haha. If so - that’s so cool. I obviously knew about the butterfly effect and domino effect, but to have the butterfly actually setting the domino effect in motion is very clever. I have to say too that all your tattoos are so elegant and the detail in your flowers is amazing. Finally, I couldn’t not mention that you’re by far my favourite asmrtist, to the point where my day is a little bit better on a Thursday and Sunday when I know you’ll have a video up to put me to sleep! Keep doing what you’re doing Rebecca, we appreciate you probably more than you know!

I'm not exactly sure what it is, but some of your videos (this one included) are intensely bright on my phone, disproportionately to the rest of the KZbin app, even. I think it may have something to do with HDR? I haven't seen it in most of your recent videos until this one, though. Maybe there's something different you do with your camera when you use a separate mic? Love your videos!
@ChaosPrincipia Жыл бұрын
It’s because it was filmed using HDR. On iOS, you can disable this viewing effect by using low battery mode. It’s the only fix I’m aware of as a viewer.
@errempath Жыл бұрын
@@ChaosPrincipia low battery mode definitely explains how it wasn't every video! honestly i don't see a point in recording asmr in HDR, though it's probably not an intentional choice 🤷. i can't speak for everyone but i'd assume most people are watching in low-light environments and HDR is in general sort of disruptively bright
